Currently only available for TT via the Homestay scheme (registration IM01779). Furnished and provisioned as a holiday let but using homestay as a trial run - would love to hear your feedback!

The former head gardener's cottage for the Rushen Abbey fruit farm is situated in an idyllic village location and provides self-catering accommodation for up to six guests.

The space
An ideal family 'home away from home' with a full kitchen (including a dishwasher), a living room and an additional study / snug.

There is one full bathroom with a shower over the bath upstairs with an additional toilet downstairs.

There are three bedrooms, one with a kingsize (5ft wide) bed, a room with two singles and a rather 'cosy' double room.

The study / snug has a sofa bed which can be made up if it suits your party to have 5 beds, however, please note the maximum number of overnight guests permitted by the homestay scheme is 6. Please let us know when you book if you require the sofabed.

Guest access
The whole property is available for your use (with the exception of one locked cupboard containing extra cleaning supplies and tins of paint).

The garden is available for your use but I'm afraid there isn't much but grass - you're welcome to use the folding chairs in garden box. The gardener (Andy) comes to mow the lawn once a fortnight in the summer.

Other things to note
WiFi is available but it is not the best (fibre is very close but unfortunately not here yet). It's perfectly fine for web-browsing and you should be able to stream video (but only one device at a time) but the upload speeds are poor, so video conferencing can be unreliable. Mobile coverage (4G) is good, however, so if you have roaming data you should be able to use that without issue.
