The Hiddle Has been hand constructed with 90% local Cornish Wood.

We DO NOT take dogs i’m afraid and the Hiddle isn’t suitable for Children.

The space
Please Note We DO NOT take pets… and we DO NOT have a TV in the Hiddle.
We do however have strong wifi if you wanted to bring a laptop or ipad.
We are in the countryside and we are quite remote!
Please be aware of this if you do
Not drive.
We do have a bus stop right outside which will get you anywhere in Cornwall ie Penzance,lands end the station etc.
Please check bus times …buses run quite regular but not after 5pm and Sunday times vary. However the local taxi services are very reliable.
The nearest local shop is 10 minutes via car or 20/30 minutes via bus.
The local pub is a good 20 minute walk down a windy lane in the next village of Paul.
The space has:
Kitchen has a butler sink and two work surfaces.
There is no oven but an Induction hob with 2 rings can be used to cook/fry basics.
Toaster, microwave and kettle.
Nespresso coffee machine stocked with a selection of pods including Decaff.
We supply a generous welcome pack including:
Tea, coffee, sugar and a selection of hot chocolate and herbal teas.
Salt, pepper,sauces and vegetable oil are also included.
Cream tea for guests (2 scones each with strawberry jam and Cornish Clotted Cream). Vegan/gluten free alternatives available (please state any allergies or requests)
Butter, milk, eggs, bread, biscuits and fresh orange juice.
Breakfast bar with 2 stools with views over the Bay.
Rocking chair and wicker armchair seating provide a quiet place to read.
Heating is a Thermaskirt central heating system.
Bedroom with hand built king size wooden bed with a premium memory foam Mattress with mattress and pillows protectors.
Warm synthetic duvet and throw and a lighter duvet in summer season.
2 firm pillows and 2 softer pillows.
Spare blanket and sheet provided as well as beach towels.
Hot water bottles /fans included.
There is hanging space and 2 large bedside cupboards for storage.
Under bed storage for suitcases etc
In the bathroom there is a Large walk in shower (fits 2 😉) with luxury Green & Springs shower gel and shampoo.
Fluffy bath Robes supplied (not to be taken home with you)
Toilet and sink with hand soap.
Extractor fan and heated towel rail.
Toilet rolls are supplied.
Towels are supplied, each guest is left a hand towel, a bath sheet and a wash cloth.
We also supply beach towels to borrow if needed.
A Fan is included in warmer weather.
There is also a Bluetooth digital radio and a selection of little games ie cards, dominos and solitare.
Outside balcony with table and 2 chairs (cushions provided)
In the summer our gardens and fields we leave wild with wild flowers and grasses.
You won’t find manicured lawns here i’m afraid so if you don’t like nature and rough and ready this isn’t for you.
We prefer Bees and Butterflies and all things natural.
You’ll wake up with the sounds of lots of wild-birds.
You may even see a fox, badger and resident owls!
Guest access
Owners live in house on site just a short distance away from the Hiddle, but don’t let this put you off ..you are completely private and will probably never see us!.
The Hiddle is completely Private.
Shared long driveway but you have your own private parking spaces (for 2 cars)
Large 4x4’s, vans or camper vans will fit adequately.
Large open 1 acre fields/gardens which are newly planted with saplings and full of wild flowers and plants.
Visitors are welcome to walk round the outside spaces.
There are 4 quite steep steps to get up to the Hiddle.
Other things to note
We do not allow smoking or vaping inside the Hiddle. This is because of the wood it is made of.
There is a gravelled area outside where you can smoke or vape if needed.
We also do not allow candles or the burning or incense at anytime.
We DO NOT allow dogs … anyone turning up with a dog will be turned away.
We pride our property as being pet free
The Hiddle is not suitable for children or small babies.
We love people but we also respect your privacy. The Hiddle is totally private and tucked away.
We are quite close to Mousehole football club …. When the season is on sometimes we get football noise on a Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon when theres a home match.
This only lasts a couple of hours.
