Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
An A-frame cabin set on a private and secluded 7 acres, and nestled in the foothills of the South Downs National Park. Architecturally designed, the cosy cabin features two bedrooms including a mezzanine with views of the rolling Sussex countryside.

Perfect for couples looking for a unique experience, friends wanting to reconnect, or small families seeking quality time amid nature.

World-class vineyards are close by, or if you fancy the buzz of a city, Brighton is a 30-minute drive.

The space
There are two bedrooms – one upstairs and one downstairs. The downstairs has two singles and the upstairs has one king-size bed, which can also be made into two singles. Just message us to let us know how you would prefer the beds to be made for you.

Downstairs, there’s a bright and modern bathroom with a hot shower, toilet, and sink. But the highlight of the downstairs is the light and airy living area. During summer months, push back the bi-fold doors for seamless access to the large, field-facing deck and laze on the outdoor hammock. In the winter, light the cosy woodburning stove (there's a fireguard to use if you're staying with little ones), which fills the cabin with warmth.

The living area has a small contemporary kitchen with a gas-powered hob, oven, fridge, mains water, and all essential utensils.

All towels and soaps are provided, but not showering products.

We’re proud to harness the energy from solar panels for 100% of The Hazel Hide’s electricity requirements. We have a back-up generator, but have never needed it. USB ports are available for charging phones, tablets etc, but please be aware that there are no standard plug sockets to power other appliances, such as hairdryers. However, a standard 3-pin socket, suitable for charging laptops only is provided.

The wood-burning stove provides all of the cabin's heat when required, and we provide plenty of logs. Please bring your own charcoal if you'd like to use the BBQ.

We're dog-friendly and the field is fully fenced, save for a small gap under the main gate. Please make sure you add pets when asked during the booking process.

Two excellent dog-friendly pubs are 25min and 40min walk away via country footpaths. The world renowned Knepp Estate rewilding project is a 10min drive.

Guest access
As a guest of The Hazel Hide, you’ll have access to the whole field. It’s the only cabin in the field, so the space is completely yours to enjoy.

Parking is free in the field with the walk from the hard surface parking area to the cabin being approx 100m via a tarmac path.
