The private white sand backyard is a standout feature — genuinely rare for a Gulf Shores property. Gather around the picnic tables, fire up the charcoal grill for a cookout (bring your own charcoal), and let the kids run around in the sand without leaving the property.
Outdoor shower: rinse off the sand and saltwater before heading inside — it's right next to the parking area.
Pet note: please keep dogs off the backyard sand and putting greens, and clean up any accidents promptly.

Two bins in front — one for trash, one for recycling. Pickup days are Monday and Thursday. Our service team handles moving the bins, so there's nothing you need to do.
☆ BEACH GEAR ☆
We provide a few beach chairs and a wagon to help you haul everything down to the water. Please note these items are replaced regularly due to wear — photos may not always reflect exactly what's available. Any beach toys at the property were left by prior guests and are not guaranteed.
☆ STARTER SUPPLIES ☆
To get you settled in, we provide: 1 roll of paper towels, 1 dish soap, 2 dishwasher pods, 2 laundry pods, trash liners, 1 hand and face soap per bathroom, and 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom. For longer stays, plan to restock as needed.
The home has a Keurig Duo — bring your own pods. Personal care items such as shampoo and conditioner are not provided.
We provide 1 bath towel per guest and all bedding. Please bring your own beach towels — pool/beach towels are not provided.
The Hangout Deck is a well-loved older beach house — not a brand-new build. It has character, a few quirks, and an unbeatable location one block from the Gulf. If you're looking for a charming, spacious home packed with amenities in the heart of Gulf Shores, you're in the right place. If you need everything brand new, this may not be the best fit.
STRICT RULES BELOW: Failure to follow these rules could result in eviction without a refund and loss of security deposit.
We've put a lot of love into this home and want every guest to have a wonderful stay. By completing your booking, you agree to all house rules.
HOUSE RULES:
BEFORE ARRIVAL
• A signed rental agreement and $200 security deposit hold are required before your door code is released. The hold is placed 1 day before check-in and released 3 days after checkout, provided no damages are reported.
• Travel insurance is strongly recommended. We follow our cancellation policy as agreed at booking. No refunds or date changes after the free cancellation period. Insurance, damage protection, and processing fees are non-refundable.
CHECK-IN & CHECKOUT
• Check-in: 4:00 PM or later. Early check-in may be available for $50–$100 — not guaranteed during peak seasons or holidays.
• Checkout: 10:00 AM. Late checkout is charged $50 per additional half-hour.
• Please check for all belongings before leaving — we cannot ship forgotten items.
GUEST POLICY
• Booking guest must be 25+ and present for the entire stay. No third-party bookings.
• Max occupancy: 10 guests total (age 2+ must be included). Over-occupancy fee: $500.
• Unregistered visitors are not permitted — this is a fire and safety code requirement.
• Open-invite gatherings, excessive noise, and unauthorized visitors are strictly prohibited.
• Photos are for reference only. Decor and games may vary. Room layouts and bed sizes remain as shown. No refunds for minor changes.
PARKING
Up to 4 cars in the driveway only. No street parking. Do not park on the grass.
QUIET HOURS
10:00 PM – 9:00 AM, mandated by the City of Gulf Shores noise ordinance— violations may result in a $200 fine, loss of security deposit, and immediate removal without refund.
SMOKING
No smoking inside. Outdoor smoking only. Indoor smoking: $200 fine + loss of deposit + professional cleaning costs.
SECURITY & DEVICES
• 2 exterior cameras (facing parking and staircase) are active during your stay. Tampering fee: $200.
• Do not tamper with smoke alarms or unplug WiFi routers. Tampering fee: $200.
NO GUEST ACCESS
Locked and labeled owner’s closets are not for guest use. Do not tamper with them. Unauthorized access results in a $500 fee.
PETS
• Up to 2 dogs (50 lbs or less) with pre-paid fee. Undisclosed pets: $200 fee per pet.
• Crate dogs when left alone. Bring your own crate and pet towels.
• No pets on furniture, in bedrooms, on backyard sand, or on putting greens.
• Dogs must be house-trained. Clean up all waste in outdoor bins.
MINI GOLF & AMENITIES
• Mini golf is for putting only—no swinging or chipping. Keep pets off the greens and supervise children at all times.
• NERF play must be done responsibly; protective eyewear is recommended.
• All amenities are used at your own risk. The host is not liable for accidents, injuries, or lost property. No rough play.
• Please clean up after use and return all items to their proper places. Before checkout, ensure everything is accounted for and not taken home accidentally. Report any damage or missing items promptly—charges may apply.
PROPERTY CARE
• No candles, confetti, glitter, or hair dye. Loss of security deposit + damage costs for violations.
• Do not wash seashells in the sinks — use the outdoor shower. Fee: $200.
• Showers: keep curtain liner fully inside the tub at all times.
• Toilets: toilet paper only — misuse may result in repair costs.
• Biohazard cleaning (bodily fluids): $250 fee. Unsanitizable items replaced at guest's expense.
• We have monthly pest control and bed bug inspections. Keep doors and windows closed to minimize pests.
• We cannot offer refunds for power, internet, or cable outages beyond our control.
• Trash pickup is Monday and Thursday — our service team handles the bins, no action needed.
• Supervise the grill at all times. Clean after each use. Bring your own charcoal.
• Refrain from setting the AC temperature more than 20 degrees lower than the outside temperature, this can cause the coils to freeze and damage the system.

SELF CHECK-IN
Entry is completely keyless via a smart lock on the front door. Your personalized door code will be sent before your arrival once your rental agreement is signed and your security deposit hold is confirmed. Everything is handled digitally — quick and easy.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
You have full, private access to the entire home — all four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, the kitchen, living and dining areas, all four balconies, the private white sand backyard, and the outdoor shower.
There are two areas reserved for host storage that are off-limits to guests: the owner's closet in the upstairs bedroom and the garage. Both are clearly labeled. We kindly ask that you respect these spaces and refrain from attempting to open them. Tampering with or removing items from storage areas will result in additional charges.

WHO THIS HOME IS PERFECT FOR
The Hangout Deck is designed for families, couples, and groups of friends looking for a relaxed Gulf Shores getaway. It is not suited for parties, events, or large gatherings.
Maximum occupancy is 10 guests total, including children. This is strictly enforced per Gulf Shores fire and safety regulations. No parties, events, or gatherings beyond stated occupancy are permitted at any time — day or night. Violations may result in a $500 fee.
FAMILY-FRIENDLY EXTRAS
A Pack 'n Play and baby gate are available in the main level bedroom closet. Please bring your own Pack 'n Play bedding if needed.
PETS & ALLERGIES
We warmly welcome up to 2 dogs (50 lbs or less) with the applicable pet fee. The home is professionally cleaned between every stay, but as a pet-friendly property, trace amounts of pet hair may occasionally remain. If pet allergies are a concern, this may not be the right fit — we appreciate you keeping that in mind before booking.
Please note: under Alabama law, it is a criminal offense to knowingly misrepresent a pet as a service animal.
OLDER HOME — WHAT TO EXPECT
The Hangout Deck has the character and charm that only comes with age — and a few things worth knowing before you arrive:
• Sliding glass doors: may require a little extra care to lock properly. Detailed instructions are in the guidebook. Security bars are available for added peace of mind.
• Front door: may occasionally stick due to coastal humidity — pull firmly or gently lift the handle while locking to align it.
• Sandburrs: depending on the season (especially spring), sandburrs (stickers) may be present in the yard. This is a common coastal condition and not always fully preventable despite regular landscaping.
These are minor quirks of a well-loved beach house — nothing that will get in the way of a great stay.

Listing photos are for reference only. Decor, beach gear, and smaller items may occasionally be updated or replaced due to normal wear. Room layouts and bed configurations will remain as shown. No refunds are issued for minor decor changes.
