The Gather 'Round Ranch is a charming 1957 mid century ranch style home that feels like an artist retreat. Within walking distance are Mas O Menos coffee shop & bar, the Harrison House Arts & Ecology Center, and the boundary of the Joshua Tree National Park itself. Or if you're feeling low-key, gather 'round the piano, play some records by the fireplace, or light a fire in the outdoor chiminea and stargaze. The GRR is the perfect place to experience what makes the Hi-Desert so magical!

The space
The vision for the Gather 'Round was to create a place to relax, but also from which to draw inspiration, create art, and enjoy the company of others.

The aesthetic is a mix of vintage & modern, featuring trimless wood-framed windows, vintage industrial light fixtures, natural plaster bedroom walls, and a microcement walk-in shower with exposed copper pipes.

The great room, the original structure built in 1957, has 12' beamed ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, a record player with vintage speakers, an acoustic guitar, Fender Twin reverb amp, and an upright piano.

In the master suite are sliding glass doors that lead to the outside, and an attached bathroom with an oversized bath tub.

The second bedroom is adjacent to the bathroom with the shower. Please note: there is no built-in climate control in this bedroom. There is a ceiling fan for warmer months, and a space heater and electric blanket for the winter.

The Location

Panorama Heights is centrally located between the two park entrances (though you can also enter by foot at the top of our street). It's 5 minutes to Joshua Tree village by car and within walking distance to Mas O Menos coffee shop & bar which has nightly food pop-ups, shows and other events and the Harrison House, where you can watch a musical performance or attend a permaculture class.

Guest access
You will have full access to the property except for the garage building. Some cabinets and closets will be locked.

Other things to note
We are on a septic system here so please only flush the toilet paper we have provided. I don't know who needs to hear this, but "flushable wipes" aren't flushable.

Keep all screens and doors shut. The desert is full of rodents, insects, and snakes, and we'd prefer they stay out in the desert.

Lastly, we've put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into lovingly restoring / renovating our home (with our own hands!) and it's full of designer finishes and vintage treasures, so this is not a pet/party/kid-friendly home. Overnight guests not listed on the reservation are prohibited. Just reach out of you have a change of plans and we can add them.
