Experience the warmth and inherent relaxation that cabin living has to offer. The rustic ambiance allows you to unwind from everyday life while still having the modern conveniences of a home. This 777 sq ft cozy cabin is ideally designed for a romantic couples retreat or solo reset but can accommodate up to four people.
Woman-owned, renovated, and managed by a nature lover and creative nomad, this space is thoughtfully designed to cultivate the healing goodness of the outdoors and bring it in, providing guests with a restorative and memorable experience.
LOCATION
The Conscious Cabin sits off of Route 16 (the original White Mountain Highway) on 3 acres of wooded forest. While the cabin is set near a busy road and occasional street noise can be heard, our guests appreciate the easy access to nearby activities while still enjoying a peaceful and private retreat. The spacious and private backyard provides a secluded feel, surrounded by nature with a short trail that leads to a brook. If traveling with pets or children, please be mindful of the road nearby.
FEATURES
The Conscious Cabin features a bedroom (queen bed), loft (queen bed), full bathroom, outdoor shower (May-September), kitchen, coffee and tea bar, large fireplace as well as a cozy open floor plan that comfortably seats and sleeps 4 people. Guests must feel comfortable climbing up a secured ladder to access the loft bed. The backyard is spacious with a large fire pit, chairs, tables, and string lights.
THE PROPERTY
There are several structures on the property that are used for yoga retreats. You will have the entire property to yourself during your stay. The backyard is private for guest use and not shared with any other guests. Feel free to walk around and explore the cabin retreat in progress and know that your stay is supporting the restoration of other cabins on the property.
WATER
The water comes from a natural well, and on occasion, there can be a mild sulfuric smell that can fluctuate depending on water table shifts. That said, the water is completely safe with a high-quality filtration system to minimize the scent. Most guests don’t find it to be an issue, but I always want to be upfront so you can make the best decision for your stay. A Brita filter pitcher is provided in the fridge for drinking purposes.
CABIN CARE
Please be respectful of the cabin and her many unique features (do not hang from fragile beams!). Years of care and dedication have gone into creating this space to be as warm and inviting for our guests.
CLEANING FEE
The $125 cleaning fee goes directly to our local housekeeper, Miranda. Your stay is sending a positive ripple through our community and supporting many dreams.
ADD-ON EXPERIENCES
Cabin Photography Session: Make your stay extra memorable with a photography session at the cabin. Great for engagements, proposals, elopements, brand content, lifestyle, portraits, or just for fun. ~1-2 hours, starting at $375. Message for more details.
Outdoor Yoga, Meditation & Reiki: Looking for a personal retreat experience during your stay? Cassouki will guide you through a yoga flow that nourishes you in the ways you need most. This experience is customized for you and can be scheduled in the morning or night during your stay. We will practice in the backyard, outside around the fire pit. Paddle-board at Lake Chocorua: Rent an inflatable paddle-board for $60/day each. These can be easily transported in your car to Lake Chocorua and inflated/deflated with a pump at the lake. Includes: paddle-board, manual pump, and paddle. Boards can be delivered and picked up from lake at additional cost.

Guest access
The cabin is located off of Route 16, the driveway is directly across from Tanglewood Cottage and easy to miss if you're speeding. 4WD is recommended for winter months to pull into the dirt driveway with ease.
Guests will access the cabin via smart lock with custom key code entry for easy check-in.
Other things to note
PETS
Well-behaved dogs are welcome! The space is an intimate 777 square feet with plants and things that could be knocked over by a high-energy pup. The cabin is also close to a busy road, so please be cautious when arriving that your dog/s don't run towards the street. The backyard is large enough for dogs to run around. The pet fee for up to two dogs is $99.
OLD, FRAGILE BEAMS
I know it can be tempting to swing from beams. Please don't, they will snap. We try our best to preserve the character of the beautiful reclaimed wood this property has to offer.
WEATHER/CANCELLATIONS
We can not predict or control weather, so we don't offer refunds due to inclement weather. Please keep this in mind when booking, and if this is a concern we recommend purchasing travel insurance (AirBnB provides this while checking out!).
Additionally, because our calendar stays fully booked year round we have a strict cancellation policy and do not make exceptions. If you have concerns about this, feel encouraged to purchase travel insurance, either from AirBnB or elsewhere. This is a great option to protect you, and protect us as hosts/business owners. We appreciate your understanding!
