There is a set of stairs from the main level/living room level that go down to the primary bedroom. And another set of stairs from the main level/living room level that go up to the A-frame bedroom. On the main level, both sets of stairs have baby gates installed should you need to engage them. Note: no baby gates have been installed at the top of the higher set of stairs, or at the bottom of the lower set of stairs; the baby gates are only installed on the main living room level.

Guest access
The entire property is accessible to guests, with the exception of the locked detached storage shed, the locked owner's closet, and the slope. Guests should not attempt to access the slope for safety.
Other things to note
ꈨ Access is via a quiet, one-way unpaved road -- a necessary part of what preserves the cabin's rare private, forest setting and sweeping elevated Lake Arrowhead views that make this hidden mountain retreat feel truly one-of-a-kind. Vehicles of all kinds have had no issues with the road.
𓊍 The cabin has stairs and may not be ideal for those with mobility concerns (access to the two king bedrooms and detached patio space require stairs; however, the queen bedroom, full bathroom, kitchen, living room, and deck are all on the main level with no stairs required).
🚙 One vehicle may park directly in front of the cabin.
6️⃣ A maximum of 6 guests are allowed on the premises. All guests must be confirmed prior to booking. Violations will result in cancellation.
🤫 Guests are advised to adhere to quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., per county rules. Exterior bistro lights will also shut off by 10pm.
🐕 While we love animals, The Arrowhead Overlook does not accept bookings that include pets. Violations may result in additional cleaning fees or cancellation of your reservation. Thank you for understanding.
⛓️ CalTrans states that all vehicles must carry chains from Nov. 1 - Apr. 30 in the San Bernardino Mountains, regardless of weather. You can check the CalTrans website for more information and current road conditions.
❄️ In the event of snow, access to an on-site shovel, and a list of local snow plow contacts will be provided upon request, should you need them during your stay.

While The Arrowhead Overlook is family-friendly, please note that the property is not child- or baby-proofed. Guests acknowledge and accept that:
• Efforts have not been made to childproof the property.
• The cabin contains stairs, decks, furniture, a fireplace, a fire pit, and other features that may pose risks to young children.
• This cabin is surrounded by forested area, which is home to wild animals that can pose a threat to unattended children.
• Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
• Guests accept full responsibility for the safety of all children during their stay and assume all risks associated with their presence on the property.

The San Bernardino Mountains are home to a variety of wild animals, including bears, raccoons, coyotes, and bobcats. It's important to take precautions to avoid attracting wildlife to the property:
• Do not leave food or trash outside—this can attract unwanted animal visitors.
• Please leave trash bags inside the property to be disposed of by our cleaning team.
• Never attempt to feed wild animals.
🐜 Insect Disclaimer
Please note that The Arrowhead Overlook is located in the San Bernardino Mountains, surrounded by nature. While the property is professionally cleaned and routinely maintained, guests may occasionally encounter common insects such as flies, spiders, or ants—especially during warmer months.
This is a natural part of mountain living, and while we do our best to minimize their presence, complete elimination is not possible in a forested setting.
We appreciate your understanding and encourage guests to keep doors closed when not in use to help prevent indoor pests.
