❇️An Authentic Savannah Experience❇️
One of the things guests love most about The Abilene is its premier location directly overlooking Forsyth Park.
Being in the heart of one of America's most walkable historic cities means you'll experience Savannah exactly as locals do, from morning joggers to evening strolls beneath centuries-old live oaks and the gentle rhythm of the neighborhood throughout the day.
The Abilene places you right in the center of it all. Located on Drayton Street, some pedestrian activity and city sounds are naturally part of this vibrant setting, and many guests consider them
part of the authentic charm of staying in Savannah Historic District. For added comfort, sound machines are thoughtfully provided in every bedroom.
As a lovingly restored Victorian home in Savannah's subtropical climate, you may
occasionally encounter local insects during warmer months, despite regular
professional pest treatments and meticulous maintenance. It's simply part of life in
the beautiful Lowcountry.
❇️PLEASE NOTE❇️
The City of Savannah is currently giving the tennis courts across the street a fresh refurbishment, so you may notice some daytime construction activity during your stay. Construction is expected to be finalized by Labor Day.

Guest access
Guests have full, exclusive access to the entire home. Keyless entry codes are provided on the day your reservation begins; no key pickup, no coordination required.
Important accessibility note: Stairs are required to enter The Abilene from both the front and back of the home. One bedroom is located on the first floor with a full bath just down the hall. The two remaining bedrooms are on the second floor, accessed by a staircase that is steeper than average due to the home's soaring 11-foot ceilings. Please keep this in mind when booking.
Other things to note
The Abilene is a historic home built in 1891. Its soaring 11-foot ceilings are one of its most distinctive features — and they also mean the staircase to the second floor is steeper than in a modern home. Please keep this in mind if anyone in your party may have difficulty with stairs.
Bedroom location note: The main floor bedroom is closest to Drayton Street. Guests in this room may hear some street noise and pedestrian activity and we provided sound machines for added comfort.
Security cameras are located at the front and back doors for security purposes. They record the entry doors and stairs only — no audio is recorded anywhere on the property.
