The Binney has been designed with luxurious comfort in mind. The oversized daybed is instantly welcoming and sun-drenched windows invite you to pause, relax and simply gaze at the ocean. Each room has been lovingly detailed with bespoke vintage furniture, European linen blinds, bedding and homewares by Wesley & Willis. Fall in love with this cosy oasis in the heart of the Bay.

Immerse yourself in the cast iron claw-foot bath - in the master bedroom - with a glass of Tassie wine. From there you'll have a stunning view of the ocean. Stretch out on the oversized daybed in the lounge for dreamy daytime naps. Or, if the ocean is calling, pack a picnic and explore the beautiful Nutgrove Beach, just a 25-minute stroll down the hill.

The Binney kitchen is fully equipped with an intergrated dishwasher & fridge, induction hotplates and a smeg coffee machine. You'll find all your fresh Tasmanian produce just a 5-minute stroll away at the iconic Hill Street gourmet grocer. We provide quality coffee and organic herbal tea and the pantry is stocked with olive oil, sugar, salt and pepper.

For the adventurous, there are nearby bushwalking trails, beach swimming and the iconic Salamanca Market is just a 30-minute stroll away. The Binney is positioned close by to a Sandy Bay bushwalking trail. Wake up early and enjoy the fresh air and a walk before morning coffee and sunshine on the balcony gazing at the water. The white sandy beach is a 25-minute stroll away for swimming and relaxing on those hot Summer days. Hobart's CBD and waterfront is a 35-minute walk or a 4-minute ride in an uber away for shopping, restaurants, bars and boutiques. From there you can catch a ferry to MONA for a day of igniting the senses.

Hello! We’re Julie and Craig. We're thrilled to share our two properties with you, The Drifters House in Bridport and The Binney in Hobart. Both are incredibly special places to our family and we are thrilled to share them with you. We bring our love for vintage furniture, layers of European linen and absolute luxury to every room. All homewares have been sourced from our bespoke homewares store Wesley & Willis in Sandy Bay, Tasmania. We're passionate about creating spaces that immediately welcome, cocoon and inspire you. Our family has been travelling to Bridport for many years to celebrate family events and simply to switch off and enjoy each other’s company. The house has been designed for guests with comfort and joy in mind, the kind of place you can’t wait to come home to after a day of adventuring.
