Mountain and valley views

Guests say the views are gorgeous.
Four bedroom cabin that we've renovated applying a ski chalet concept. Each suite has a copper bathtub looking out on protected forest. The views are incredible with panoramas of Lake Buyan, Handara Golf Course, and steep mountains in the background. At 1,400 m. above sea level, we're blessed with eternal spring weather in the day time with chilly nights.

Wake up early morning to the smell of conifers and take a walk to see jungle fowl, deer, civet cats, and a wide variety of birds.

The space
We recently renovated this four bedroom Swiss-style chalet and added modern touches, such as in-suite copper bathtubs, a kid's loft in the master suite, placed comfy sofas in each suite, and enlarged the kitchen area. Each of the four bedrooms has at least one antique piece of furniture at least 100 years old.

The dining area has a fireplace and is stocked with firewood. There's a renowned botanical garden minutes away and kayaking on nearby lakes.

The design theme is reminiscent of ski chalets with antique skis, snowshoes, climbing equipment, and vintage ski photos and posters displayed on the walls.

We added a new option whereby Guests can choose to have our chef prepare meals. We own and manage another property called Sebatu Sanctuary Eco-resort with an award winning restaurant, Evicurious; and many of the same menu items we now have at our Bedugul Chalet.

Guest access
If renting the Chalet, guests have access to the entire house, including our professionally designed kitchen with all appliances including oven, microwave, grill, and high pressure stove. All pots and pans are professional grade stainless or cast iron.

The chalet is located on a private road with only four other chalet-style villas in the area, and faces Handara Golf Resort.

The property can accommodate three cars with a gate that can be locked at night, and additional vehicles can be parked in an open area in front of the chalet. You now can choose if you'd like our chef to prepare some or all of your meals.

Other things to note
Long-tailed macaques sometimes can be seen in the nearby forest and please do not feed them anything to avoid them becoming aggressive. Additionally, please keep the kitchen door and windows closed when going out on ½ day or full day tours.

Neighborhood highlights

The neighborhood was developed several decades ago with about 50 houses built entirely of wood, applying Swiss style chalet designs. The house is situated about 60 meters from one of Indonesia's most beautiful golf courses, Handara, and for golfers, we can arrange for a golf cart to pick you up at the end our road. Additionally, 3,000 hectares of protected forest border the chalet and the golf course.

We're located in the large village of Bedugul at 1,440 meters above sea level. Bedugul is widely known throughout Indonesia as a mountain vacation area and has a famous 700 hectare botanical garden. There are varied activities and adventures that we can arrange including kayaking on Lakes Beratan and/or Buyan, only a few kilometers away. Trekking up nearby peaks is another favorite activity that we arrange, along with mountain biking.

My work: Eco-resort Mgr&Owner
My husband and I own and operate one of Bali's most unique eco-resorts called Sebatu Sanctuary. On site, we own an award-winning restaurant. I love to travel and have visited New Zealand and Australia several times, along with Italy, France and Switzerland. For me, it's exciting seeing new places, but also I love Bali and enjoy sharing the island's enchanting culture and beautiful places with our guests.
