Relax at Sunken Sea Shack, enjoying the stunning water views from the comfort of this beautifully crafted home. A cosy corner in the wild Tassie coastline, perfect to unwind, relax and stop while taking in all the beauty by the comfort of an indoor fire. This breath of fresh air allows one to disconnect while listening to the water lapping on the shore of the bay.
The perfect place to explore everything the Huon Valley has to offer, including walking tracks, cellar doors, and cideries.
The space
Sunken Sea Shack is the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the nature on show in the famous Huon Valley area.
We invite our guests to come and disconnect and immerse themselves in the rugged nature of Tasmania. Our curated shack is perfectly suited for couples but can comfortably fit four people in the 2 bedrooms (2 Queen beds) and 1 bathroom home. Enjoy the cosiness of the indoor fire and water views from the living room and master bedroom. The shack has the comforts of modern facilities such as the bathroom with a large soaker bath.
Outside is really the showstopper with a beautiful backyard with a fire pit and access to a private residence only bay.
Gatherings or parties of any kind are restricted. Pets are not permitted at Sunken Sea Shack under any circumstances.
Guest access
Guests will be able to self check in via a lock box upon check in time.
Our standard listed rate is for 2 guests sharing the same bedroom. If you book for 2 guests you will only have access to the main bedroom.
If you are 2 guests wishing to use both bedrooms it is an additional $50 for the booking. If this is the case we suggest to book for 3 guests to enable Airbnb to process this correctly or notify us so we can request the extra charge.
Additional guests are $50 per person for the duration of the booking,
Sunken Sea Shack has a 2 night minimum stay and 3 nights over public holiday weekends.
Other things to note
Breakfast provisions for your first day of bread, butter, free range eggs, milk are provided as a gift for your stay.
Pantry staples such as tea, ground coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil are also provided.
Please note: the house is on a septic tank and must be treated with care. We kindly notify you that it is forbidden to put an food waste down the sinks or to flush anything other than toilet paper in the toilet (DO NOT flush sanitary napkins, tissues etc. please dispose in the provided bins). A fee of $500 will be charged if we are notified on any wrong doings.
While we try our best to accomodate you in our beautiful home, please note we are in a rural area thus it is common to find wildlife droppings and sometimes millipedes can find there way indoors despite us trying to keep them out. Please clean your feet before entering, we also suggest to drive slowly and minimally from dusk to dawn to ensure your safely as well as wildlife on the roads.
