Outdoor Amenities

Stargazer Cottage is nestled in a small cove with Pisgah National Forest and mountains bordering the cottage (yes, this means you may see wildlife!) It’s quiet, secluded, and peaceful. The property is full of interesting places to explore. We have a small stream on the edge of the acreage that cascades down the mountain in delightful waterfalls.

Wander down to the pond for some morning meditation or to get lost in a good book. There’s something to offer in every season- from spring and summer blooms, breezes, and butterflies to autumn’s tapestry of colors that this area is best known for.

It seems no vacation is complete without a round or two of cornhole, and we've got you covered with a full-size regulation set!

Later, spend the evening gathered around the propane fire pit unwinding on reclining Adirondack chairs with your beverage of choice and sharing conversation and stories about the day. Be sure to carve out some time to stargaze! If you’re feeling extra outdoorsy, we also offer a Solo fire pit so you can listen to the crackle of a wood fire and toast marshmallows to your heart’s delight.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to use the entire house and grounds. The garage is not available for use. The gardening shed is accessible to guests and is where the Solo stove and Cornhole game are stored.
We ask that when exploring, you are respectful of our native plants and tread gently.

Other things to note
There is a steep gravel drive that you must navigate to get to the property. Please consider this when deciding to book! I recommend an AWD or 4WD vehicle or a vehicle with a higher clearance. Please reach out with any questions about the road.

Well, hello! I'm so excited to be your host. I bought this gem of a home after my husband unexpectedly passed away in March 2023, and I desperately needed a project to take my mind off the fact that my life had changed in the worst way possible. I am the parent of an awesome teen, and we enjoy traveling - well, at least they doesn't complain when I drag him to new and exciting places. I also love music, all things Disney, and being outside.
