The space
Eco-friendly, cosy little home. Peace, privacy, views, forest, birds, wildlife. Simplicity and calm. Come and relax.

Fully equipped kitchen with quality cookware and everything you need. Bespoke local pottery, lovely glassware, practical gadgets galore. Freshly ground coffee, mokapot or french press, teapot and a choice of loose-leaf teas.

Luxury, spacious bathroom with forest and waterviews, a rainshower and bathtub.

Need to work? Desk available, please ask before or during your stay. Our internet is ADSL, reliable and suitable for watching videos, video conferencing and general use.

Watch the sun or the moon rise over Storm Bay and the D'Entrecasteaux Channel. You can see all the way past Tinderbox and Dennes Point on Bruny Island to the mountains of the Tasman Peninsula. At night, spot the Iron Pot lighthouse and do a little stargazing with the telescope.

Please note: there are two steps to the front porch, the rest of the Haus is all on one level with an easily accessible shower. there is a bathstool in the laundry cupboard for your use.

Guest access
You have Snug Haus all to yourselves, complete with a full kitchen and deck to relax on. We live on the same 5 acre block just up the hill and may occasionally be pottering in the big shed. We're There to help if you need us but won't disturb you at all. There are no other guests.

Other things to note
We are on tankwater, please enjoy the lovely rainwater thoughtfully. Our wastewater system is eco-friendly, simply flush human waste and loo paper and bin everything else.

The TV has Chromecast - enjoy ivew etc on the big screen.

Neighborhood highlights

Snug is a quiet, unpretentious seaside village. We live just outside the township and up the hill. Snug Falls are a few minutes drive away as is the beach. Go for a relaxing walk along the Snug River, down at Coningham on the cliff tops or further afield. There is a great shop and an excellent butcher down in the village, as well as a cafe, bottle shop and post office. Margate has Meredith's Orchard for local apples and other produce and a bakery.
