You’ll find retro alpine coziness, modern essentials, and eco-friendliness at this 1951, single-level cabin situated in a quiet neighborhood. Relax after a long hike, a day on the lake, or hours of snow play in the fully-fenced back yard that includes a propane grill, alfresco dining, hot tub, and a hammock.
Location! The Aspen Glen picnic area and Pine Knot trailhead are a short five minute walk from the cabin. 10 minutes to Snow Summit. 13 to Bear Mountain. Big Bear Marina is five minutes.

OUR HOME
Warmth and comfort are the focus of our cabin. From the original woodwork,
vintage vinyl, red SMEG fridge and the hand-crafted beds. We’ve taken the extra care to create the best cabin experience for you while keeping sustainability top of mind.
Environmentally friendly products, renewably resourced furniture, LED lighting,
organic towels and sheets, and non-toxic cleaning products are just some of the ways we manage our footprint.
LIVING AREA
You’ll find original wood walls throughout the cabin creating a woodsy charm. When it’s chilly, enjoy the warmth of an electric (not wood-burning) fireplace as you relax with a movie on the large flat screen (streaming ready, cable television, or ample DVDs including family friendly ones). We also welcome you to go retro by listening to our collection of vintage LPs. One of our recent guests shared a video of their birthday boy who danced around the living room to Cat Stevens on his 4th birthday! So adorable!
Don’t go without modernities – our Bluetooth speakers are device ready so you can bring your own tunes. A mid-century, lap-top friendly desk provides a convenient workstation.
KITCHEN AND DINING
The fully-equipped kitchen is tiny yet mighty, featuring our favorite retro red SMEG fridge, stove/oven, microwave, 12-cup coffee maker, chef’s knives, toaster, coffee press, and blender. Everything you need for refueling. Select Organic coffee, olive oil, and teas and spices are provided.
Enjoy meals at the dining table as you take in the view of the backyard…your own personal park dotted with pine trees and room to run. Our table seats 4 (with the additional desk chair).
Our bookcase is stocked with a collection of books ranging from mysteries, to
classics, Ecology and kids titles. Grab one and enjoy! If you don't have time to finish your book before departing, you are welcome to take your book with you.
BEDROOMS (2) AND BATH
Rest easy in hand crafted beds, custom made with sustainably sourced wood made by a family-owned furniture company in England. Nectar memory foam mattresses and ultra lux 100% cotton sheets and down comforters* ensure a night of deep slumber. Both bedrooms include a flat screen so you can relax with your favorite streamed show or DVD.
The Queen bedroom is bright and airy, complete with vintage 40’s waterfall dresser and luggage rack. The full bedroom includes a large window that bathes the room in warm afternoon sun. The vintage 60’s dresser, and closet beckon you to unpack and stay a while.
Bedroom Closet: A stackable washer and dryer is available for your use. You can also find extras including humidifiers, blankets, fans, games, puzzles and DVDs here.
* Down-alternative comforters and pillows are available upon request; please mention your preference when making your reservation.
Our bathroom is well stocked with plenty of organic cotton towels, hair dryer and a make-up/shaving light to make your day start and end well.

🐾 Pet Policy
We love dogs and are happy to welcome up to two (2) well-behaved dogs on a case-by-case basis. To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests, please review the following requirements:
Requirements:
Dogs must be 100% housebroken and well behaved.
Dogs should not be excessive barkers or disruptive to neighbors.
Dogs may not be left unattended in the home, per Big Bear Lake’s Good Neighbor Policy.
Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets, indoors and outdoors.
Dog Fee:
We wish we didn’t have to charge a pet fee. To maintain a clean, comfortable, dog-friendly cabin, we charge $50 per dog (up to two dogs per reservation).
This fee helps cover additional expenses unique to pet-friendly homes, such as professional upholstery and rug cleaning and other sanitation measures that non-pet homes do not require.
