Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the tranquility of Arami, between larch forests and magnificent mountain peaks. Curl up in front of the fireplace with a cup of tea or admire the view, sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine.

The hut is located at almost 1500 meters altitude in the Gorduno valley, far from cities, shops and internet connection. The road is a winding one (single-lane, with occasional opportunities to give way to oncoming cars). The last stretch is a gravel road, not suitable for low-slung cars!

From Bellinzona it is reachable by car in 30 minutes
(Toll fee 7 CHF/24h, managed by the city of Gorduno, payment request at the beginning of the road). If you eat in the restaurant for more than 100chf, we will give you a 7chf discount when you show the confirmation.
The last 500m must be done ON FOOT (steep gravel road, suitcases etc. not recommended!).

If you use public transport, from Bellinzona you can take the bus to Gorduno and from there hike to Arami for about 3 hours (with an altitude difference of 1200m, not a walk but a fairly easy hike).

The accommodation is located next to a mountain hut that has a restaurant where you can eat and have breakfast on request.

Please bring your own towels if possible.

We also ask our guests to use water and electricity wisely, as we rely on solar energy!

The kitchen is equipped with a wood stove, which requires patience and heats the cabin at the same time. There is NO REFRIGERATOR in the cabin! We ask our guests to leave the kitchen clean.

It is possible to pull out the sofa so that another person can sleep, max. 1-2 small children.

We live in and with nature, insects such as spiders, flies, lizards will often cross your path.

Guest access
The hut is completely privat with a private entrance. There is a parking available, the last 500 meters up to the hut are only accessible BY FOOT!

Other things to note
We offer half pension for CHF45, which includes a three course dinner or lunch and breakfast. It is possible to also get full pension.
In the restaurant we accept cash, transfer or TWINT. The Restaurant is in September & October closed Monday-Wednesday. If you ask before hand, we might be able to organize something though.
We offer typical ticino cuisine and regional products.

If you wish to cook in the hut, you are free to do so, but the possibilities are limited.

We provide wood, but have to add a 5chf/box fee.

Furry friend rules
We welcome all furry friends but please note:
As the hut has stone floor we recommend bringing your dog a blanket/dog bed for the night. We kindly ask NOT to take your dog UPSTAIRS as the wooden floor is pretty delicate and easily scratched.
Our hut is surrounded by a cows meadow, so please keep your dog on a leash when crossing the cows area.
We have many visitors in the restaurant with dogs too, so please keep an eye on your dog in general.
