A seaside getaway on 1.5 acres located on the north shore of Orcas Island just minutes away from Eastsound. Our location offers spectacular Salish Sea views paired with access to a breathtaking private low bank beach.

Beachfront House with Craftsman Details:
Large sash windows and French doors frame views of the Salish Sea and gardens. Sweeping seascape views from the master suite and 2nd upstairs bedroom. For outdoor summer dining enjoy the covered patio with table just off the kitchen. Inside the home is a large classic handcrafted oak dining table and chairs. The home features traditional design elements including high ceilings, plenty of windows and wide plank heartwood pine flooring.

Step from the deck into the garden and stroll over a low boardwalk spanning active tidal wetlands to our black sand and pebble beach. Dip your toes in the gentle ocean salt water. Gather driftwood for a beach fort, explore the ocean tidal life or just relax and listen to the subtle lapping waves breaking at the shore.

Sorry, NO DOGS. No small dogs, no cute dogs, no old dogs, no dogs that don't shed, no dogs that do shed but are very sweet....no dogs. Exceptions only for licensed assistance dogs.

Beach is accessed via boardwalk.

Terrill Beach is owned by 5 parcels. Residents & guests of these parcels have permission to walk the beach, but each individual beachfront is private property. Please sit and socialize on our section.

Note: there is an ADU adjacent to the home, which may be occupied by 2 guests during the high season. The Beach Loft suite has its own entrance.

Driveway parking. No trailers. No boat launch or mooring.

Read the house rules and full description. Your awareness of the rules, following them during the stay (and sharing them with any co-guests) is your responsibility.

Bathtub in the primary suite is not available to tenants (it's a 1/2 bathroom, no shower). Water damage has occurred due to continued misuse of the shower curtain. In-house laundry not included (a laundromat is close by). If this is a complete meltdown moment for you, absolutely do not rent this house.

2 guests may be staying in the adjacent Beach Loft (above garage). There are no shared interior spaces.

Bring your own ground coffee and paper towels for the kitchen. We do not stock paper napkins or single use items. Kitchen is supplied with soap, dishwasher pods and dish towels. A reasonable amount of toilet paper for the duration of your rental is stocked in each bathroom.

Sleeping Sea is best suited to those looking for a quiet retreat. It is a home with personal touches and not set up to tolerate high impact and careless treatment. This property is not for groups who are looking to celebrate reunions, weddings, birthdays or any type of gathering involving alcohol and partying.

We are family business, consisting of farm founder Shana and the next generation, siblings Sarah and Zachary. Zach is a master craftsman and orchard enthusiast with a background in landscape design and commercial construction. Sarah is the business manager and splits her time between Seattle and Orcas. She enjoys exploring the natural wonders of the islands and nurturing the gardens and animals on the farm. We look forward to hosting you at our farm or beach house.
