Welcome to Sláinte House - your next beach retreat! Sláinte means health in Irish Gaelic and is used as a toast, much like cheers. We chose this name because we want you to celebrate your time at our home - Sláinte!
The space
Welcome to our vibrant beachside retreat in the charming San Luis Subdivision of Freeport, Texas. This spacious home features an open layout with vaulted ceilings that seamlessly connects the living, dining, and kitchen areas—perfect for gathering and relaxing. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern countertops, a coffee maker, and seating at both a breakfast bar and a dining table for eight.
Each cozy bedroom offers an ensuite bathroom, plush linens, and ample comfort. Step out onto the private balcony to enjoy ocean views, sea breezes, and al fresco dining after a day of beachside fun.
Located on Follet's Island Beach, you're steps away from kayaking, fishing, surfing, and sandcastle building. Nearby attractions include the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge and Sea Center Texas, with local dining favorites like Seahorse Bar & Grill, Pier 30, and Beach Front Deck Bar & Grill just a short drive away. ✔ Water for home is well & septic. We have a filter for the entire house and a reverse osmosis filter for the kitchen sink. We suggest bagged ice for your drinks & bottled water to stay hydrated at the beach!
✔ We spray for mosquitos every 3 weeks, and a spray may take place during your stay. We will do our best to notify you prior to any service.
✔ Bunk beds to be used at your own risk. Weight capacity from manufacturer for bunk beds: Full/full bunk: 300 lb. max top; Twin/twin bunk: 200 lb. max top
❖️ ❖️ Furnishings and amenities will be furnished as described whenever possible. In the event an item is damaged/broken/lost the host will restock as soon as possible.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire property during your stay.
Other things to note
❖️ REQUESTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS ❖️
• Please do NOT put anything in the toilets other than natural waste and toilet paper, and do NOT put any grease down the drain in the kitchen sink.
• The shared walkover bridge is located over the dunes which is naturally occurring vegetation and produces stickers/sand burrs therefore shoes/sandals should be worn to avoid them. Also be on the lookout for critters (snakes) that love to hang out in the dune areas.
• Two wagons to take your belongings to & from the beach are available for use during your stay and can be found in the garage. We also have chairs, sand toys, pop-up shade tent and tent weights. Please clean and return all items after use for the next guest to enjoy.
• We recommend a rolling cooler or cooler bag to make your walk to the beach easier.
• A cornhole set is in the garage for use during your stay. Please return prior to checking out.
