Beautiful and walkable
Guests say this area is scenic and it’s easy to get around.
Six Windsor Place is a newly renovated fisherman’s cottage in Mumbles with sea views & garden that sleeps 7 people in four bedrooms. Nestled down a lane only a 3-4 minute walk to the seafront with its numerous restaurants and bars. Just a 15-20 minute 'steep' walk to blue flag beach ‘Langland Bay’, great for swimming, surfing, & paddle boarding. Mumbles is the gateway to Gower Penisula, the UK's first designated area of outstanding natural beauty - beaches, castles, salt marshes & views galore!
The space
Six Windsor Place is the last cottage down a quiet pedestrian lane - the cottage features:
A courtyard garden surrounded by original stone walls with a fun outdoor shower, garden furniture for 7, parasol, and Weber BBQ.
A cozy log burner for colder days.
Spacious lounge with two large 'Snug' sofas - through to the dining area with large extendable table & seating for 7.
New kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, Bosch cooker, Nespresso machine, microwave, and fridge/freezer.
Brand new bathroom situated upstairs with a shower bath and underfloor heating.
Large flat screen smart TV, high-speed wi-fi throughout the house, smart speaker, DVD player, and library of DVDs.
The cottage has four charming bedrooms - the top bedroom with a comfy king-size platform bed has amazing panoramic views of Oystermouth Castle & Swansea Bay, a chest of drawers, and quirky hanging space in the eaves. The main front bedroom has sea & castle views across the rooftops, a comfy king size bed and open wardrobe with drawers. The back bedroom has a 42inch internet TV, views up to the Mumbles Hill Nature reserve, and a comfy double bed and open wardrobe with drawers. The single bedroom features more sea & castle glimpses and has a large comfy adult-sized single bed, optional desk, and open wardrobe.
The cottage doesn’t have a designated parking spot as we are situated on a small pedestrian lane. Mumbles can get very busy and finding parking spaces might involve driving around a bit! Please also note the road we are situated off is narrow so some visitors may prefer to find parking on the wider roads off Queens road a few minutes walk away.
Sorry, but we don’t accept dogs at the cottage as our daughter is allergic to them and we use the cottage regularly.
Guest access
Our cottage is based in the heart of Oystermouth, Mumbles just 3-4 minutes from the seafront & Newton Road with all it's independent shops. Despite its convenient location, the area is really quiet with hardly any road noise. As the cottage is based down a pedestrian lane - there is no parking next to the cottage. However, there is free parking on the nearby roads & lanes. Please note the roads & lanes nearby can get very busy and are fairly narrow so drivers of larger cars may want to park on the roads off nearby Queens Road.
Other things to note
Please note the cottage is based on a pedestrian lane in the heart of Oystermouth, Mumbles. Parking can be tricky in this area. The road the lane is off (Gloucester Place) is narrow, and although you can park on the road, guests may prefer to park on other wider roads off Queens road nearby.
There are steep stairs in the cottage and we have one bathroom, situated upstairs.
