Welcome to The Rusty Anchor, a comfortable and family-friendly Oak Island getaway just a short walk to the beach — all on sidewalks! Conveniently located near Middleton Avenue and Oak Island Drive, this home offers easy access to the beach, local shops, restaurants, and everything Oak Island has to offer.

Start your mornings relaxing on the front porch with a cup of coffee while enjoying the sound of the waves, or enjoy breakfast outdoors on the spacious covered deck. When it’s time for the beach, grab the provided beach chairs, beach buggies, and gear from the garage and take a quick, easy stroll to the sand. With Oak Island’s 14 miles of south-facing beach and multiple access points nearby, you’ll have plenty of options for your perfect beach day.

After a day in the sun, come home and unwind in the open, comfortable living space. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare family meals, or head out to explore the many restaurants on Oak Island and nearby Southport. Enjoy movie nights on the 65” smart TV or gather around for some friendly competition with the provided board games.

Evenings are made for outdoor fun! Roast marshmallows around the fire pit, enjoy a game of cornhole, or relax under the stars in the spacious, fully fenced backyard. The outdoor space features a shaded deck with café lights, patio seating, charcoal grill, and plenty of room for kids and pets to play.

When it’s time to recharge, choose from three comfortable bedrooms. The primary suite offers a king bed, private workspace, TV, and en-suite bathroom. The bunk room is perfect for kids, featuring a twin-over-full bunk bed, additional twin bed, and TV. The third bedroom includes another king bed and TV.

The large backyard, spacious driveway, and garage provide plenty of room for everyone — including storage for your beach gear. Complimentary beach chairs, sand toys, and beach buggies are provided to help make your vacation easy and enjoyable.

Guests will be provided a unique door code 5 days prior to their arrival along with check in instructions.

- Minimum age requirement to rent is 25 years old.
- Positively NO SMOKING in/around the house or garage. All smoking must be kept to the driveway or the backyard.
- Up to 3 dogs are welcome, but no cats or other pets accepted. Please message the host if you need an exception.
- Hand soap and dish soap are provided.
- Shampoo/bath soap, laundry detergent, and dishwasher detergent/packs are NOT PROVIDED
- Some paper towels and toilet paper provided to get you started, but you may need more during your stay.
- Please bring your own beach towels. The bath towels are for at-home use only - do not bring them to the beach.
