Sunset Haven is located on Goose Bay, which is a protected bay, directly connected to the St. Lawrence River. It offers calmer waters for kayaking and water skiing. The bay is 1 mile across to the main river channel.

The space
Our cottage is located on Goose Bay which is a peaceful River Community. There is no congestion/traffic, little noise, no subdivisions -- just a gorgeous New York River view. This cozy cottage was designed to enjoy time with friends and family.
The cottage’s layout is ideal for up to 4 to 6 guests. Whether you are a couple looking for a weekend getaway, or a family looking to get some well needed R&R on the river this is your spot!

★ OUTDOOR AREA ★
When you are in need of some fresh air, the outdoor deck is where you want to be! With a beautiful view of the St Lawrence River, great fishing, boating, views of the many islands from where the area gets is namesake (1000 Islands), this is a perfect retreat.
There is a picnic table, a fire pit down by the river, a grill, kayaks available for use as well as life jackets.
★ Dockage ★
The public boat launch is steps away as is our private 90 ft. dock. One dock space is provided with your rental; more may be available upon request depending on availability. The water is deep enough for boats as long as 30ft.
★ GUEST ACCESS ★
The cottage is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay, so relax, unwind, and make yourself at home. The drive to us is easy, and beautiful!
★ OTHER THINGS TO NOTE ★
PARKING: Parking is a little tight and you are allowed to park in the grass in front of the house. Room for about 2-3 vehicles. There is additional parking if needed so just ask!
ACCESS: The front door has an electronic lock. You will be provided the door code on the day of arrival. The Key to the garage where the kayaks and the trash are is hanging on the side of the refrigerator closes to the TV.
TRAVELING AROUND THE AREA: There are no taxis or rideshare services in the area. So driving a personal vehicle or boating to locations is your best bet!
OUTDOOR GRILL: There is a gas grill on the deck for your use.
TRASH: Trash containers are located inside the garage, along with recycling receptacles
CHECK IN/OUT: We do not typically offer late check out or early check in due to high occupancy. If by chance we can accommodate, we will.

WHAT TO BRING: We provide toilet paper, laundry detergent, sponge and dish detergent, trash bags, paper towels, Linens, pillows
Coffee, ice, soaps, shampoos, toiletries, condiments, zip locks are NOT provided.
We also suggest bringing the following during your stay: bottled water, paper plates and citronella candles.
SMOKING: This is a NON-SMOKING/VAPING cabin. If you smoke/vape inside the cabin you will be charged $250, plus an increase to the cleaning fee, and any damages.
PARTIES: NO parties allowed at this house. You will be charged an additional $250, plus an increase to the cleaning fee, and be asked to leave immediately.
PETS: Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis. We do charge a $100 pet fee per stay.
OCCUPANCY: Maximum Permitted Occupancy is 6.
CELL & INTERNET: Cell Phone Signal is decent but you may pick up Canadian cell towers.
We do provide access to high speed internet at this location.
WEATHER: We do NOT offer refunds for weather or natural disasters. We suggest purchasing trip insurance.
BATHROOMS: We are on septic system, so please buy SEPTIC SAFE toilet paper and do not flush ANYTHING ELSE down the toilet.
SAFETY: Please wear life jackets if using kayaks and please boat responsibly!
Owner/Host is NOT responsible for accidents or injuries.
Guest access
The exterior features a small covered porch with comfortable seating for reading or relaxing, and a deck with a picnic table and a propane grill in the yard.
The large yard is good for ball games etc. and the neighborhood is kid friendly for bike riding and walking.

A picnic table and fire pit are also located at the waterfront for your enjoyment.
Car and trailer parking are easy.
Other things to note
Goose Bay is located perfectly to access all The Thousand Islands has to offer. Boating, water sports, fishing, golfing on the pleasant local course or the world class course at Wellesley Island State Park. Boldt Castle is accessible by boat or car as is the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, downtown Alexandria Bay and hundreds of other beautiful places to visit. Singer Castle is also nearby and accessible by boat only.
