Location
Right off Route 209 in East Stroudsburg, you’re minutes from ski resorts, waterfalls, downtown dining, and the Delaware Water Gap. Use the cabin as a peaceful creekside retreat or as a convenient base for Pocono adventures.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire property except the barn/garage as we are working on making improvements.
Other things to note
Easy, paved access
Level gravel driveway and the cabin sits about 50 yards off Marshalls Creek Road. You’ll have straightforward paved access—no steep dirt roads or narrow wooden bridges to worry about. The neighborhood is a friendly cluster of cabins, so you get woodland privacy without being completely isolated. You may hear vehicles since this is a local route; most guests find it mild, but we want to be upfront for anyone seeking total wilderness silence.
Neighboring cabins
The cabin sits on 1.2 acres and within sight of four or five other cabins, including one active Airbnb rental. You may occasionally hear activity from nearby properties.
A true forest setting
The cabin is tucked into a lively woodland—you may see deer, turkeys, songbirds, and an occasional black bear at a distance. You might also notice seasonal insects or small critters outdoors. We hire professional pest control regularly to keep the interior comfortable.
Pet friendly (but not fenced)
We love dogs and welcome them, but the yard is not fenced. There’s plenty of space to explore on leash.
Allergy note
Our cleaners do a thorough job between stays, but because we’re pet‑friendly, guests with pet allergies should keep that in mind before booking.
Fire pit and outdoor rules
Gathering around the fire pit is a favorite. Outdoor wood fires are subject to county rules and seasonal burn bans; if a ban is in effect, the fire pit must remain unused.
Security and privacy
We use exterior-only security devices for your safety—no cameras inside. Cameras monitor the lower driveway, front walk, upper driveway/barn, the lean‑to, and a remote camera watches stream water levels.
Laundry and water care
There’s a washer and dryer with detergent and dryer sheets/balls. To protect our well and conserve water, please limit laundry to two loads per day.
Smoking and vaping
No smoking or vaping inside or in the hot tub. If you smoke or vape, please step well away from the doors and dispose of materials responsibly.
