5 bedroom dog-friendly plus enormous game room and HOT TUB! Perfect spot for anglers & water enthusiasts! Enjoy our pool table, air hockey, electric fireplaces, screen porch, multiple decks, foosball, basketball inside and out, volleyball, firepit & more! Explore the lake with kayaks, 140 feet of shoreline and a 100 foot fishing pier. We are on wide open water, and there is no road between our huge yard and gorgeous Lake Tawakoni.

Welcome to Reel Lazy Lakehouse – Your Perfect Lakeside Getaway!
Nestled on 3/4 of an acre directly on open water on Lake Tawakoni, "The Catfish Capital of Texas," our family-friendly lake house offers endless fun for everyone. With a gently sloping backyard leading from the house right to the water - no roads to cross - and open water, not a trickle of an inlet! Reel Lazy enjoys panoramic views spanning over 90 degrees. It’s the perfect spot for angling, relaxation and adventure!
** Fishing & Water Activities **
Whether you're an experienced angler or just love being near the water, you've got options! Cast your line for catfish, bass, gar, or crappie. We have 140 feet of shoreline, a 100-foot fishing pier, and covered boathouse! While the boathouse cannot house boats at this time, it's a great shady spot to fish. We cannot guarantee lake levels throughout the year, but typically the water depth in early Spring is 8-9 feet. The nearest public boat ramp is only 8 minutes away at Two Mile Bridge East.
We provide a great selection of fishing poles, tackle and kayaks for a fun, leisurely paddle on the lake. Afterward, fire up the grill (propane included) or sit round the roomy firepit.
** Outdoor Fun & Relaxation **
Take advantage of lakeside fun with a wide variety of activities. Soak in the new hot tub or lounge on a couch on the screened-in upper deck while taking in the stunning lake views. Unwind in the hammock under a shady tree while the kids enjoy a game of volleyball or horseshoes. Gather around the firepit at night for s'mores and stories in our new all season Adirondack chairs!
** Entertainment & Game Room **
Our huge game room is packed with entertainment for all ages! Enjoy ping pong, foosball, or challenge your friends to darts, cornhole, and basketball. We’ve recently added a poker table, bar with stools, hatchet toss and and golf arcade game for even more entertainment!
** Spacious Living Areas **
The open-concept living area is designed for relaxation, with two new leather couches, leather lounge chair, a recliner and two club chairs. If you must work on your vacation, there is also a desk with monitor. Turn around and shoot a game of pool or access a variety of family games and books. Cozy up to the bar on 4 barstools. Our recently upgraded kitchen features quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, an air fryer, fondue set, and more! The coffee bar features a Keurig as well as a standard coffee pot, and comes standard with a huge array of syrups, cider and cocoa. We provide plenty of Keurig pods, sugar and creamer for your group - we don't believe in ONLY providing 'starter packs' of supplies for guests, so prepare to just bring you and your family - we're ready for you!
** Comfortable Bedrooms & Guest Apartment **
The main house features a large primary bedroom with king bed, ensuite bathroom, electric fireplace, TV and a convertible couch for small children. It looks out on the lake with its own private deck! The 2 other main house bedrooms also have their own TV's and their doors walk right out into updated bathrooms.
Between the main house and game room / apartment (they are so close together that maybe 6 steps separate the two buildings), you will find an additional covered outdoor seating area with TV, BBQ grill and kayaks. The apartment celebrates its strong Texas vibe and contains its own living area with couch, tv, kitchenette and pub seating. Enjoy the beautiful king log bed and ensuite bathroom with glass shower. We recently added a barn door to this main bedroom for more privacy! Upstairs, you will find a spacious bedroom with full\double size bed, cozy raised reading nook that kids love, plus it has its own couch and TV.
****We have steps*** For those with mobility challenges: Please note that, like most lake properties, our home has steps. It has 2 steps up into the main living area from the back door, 10 stair steps up if you are accessing the house from our side porch deck and several steps down into the back yard to access the hot tub. We include this information so that you will be prepared if you or your guests are not easily able to access\use stairs.
** Tech & Convenience **
Stay connected with half gig super fast fiber internet, perfect for streaming on our all new Roku TVs. We do not supply cable channels, but ROKU has its own free live TV channels and access to all the streaming apps!
** Dog-Friendly **
For a $50 fee, we welcome up to two house-trained dogs only of any size (must specify number of dogs in reservation when booking so that our pet fee is included). The fee helps us to ensure that the cleaning team has extra time and cleaning tools to sanitize fully between guests. We provide pup amenities, including bowls, an outdoor bag and clean-up station, toys, and a small pet crate. We do request that guests cover our couches with one of our blankets if their pups are allowed on them and clean up after pets outside. We do NOT allow cats due to allergies.

We include this information so that you will be prepared if you or your guests are not able to use stairs
Guest access
Guests have access to main house, garage game room and apartment, fishing pier, boathouse and yard. EXCLUSIONS: locked cleaning & supply room which is the master closet, and utilities under the house by the hot tub. Please do not tamper with or allow your guests to tamper with these doors
There is no parking allowed inside garage as it has been converted into our game room - parking inside could damage the painted floors and equipment.
NOTE: Please keep an eye on kids and pets as the pier is not gated. We provide adult and youth life jackets in the garage
Covered boathouse CANNOT hold a boat - electrical was cut by heavy machinery and has not been repaired and slip is blocked. Most times of year you can tie up a boat to our fishing pier (we recommend you use boat bumpers). Reach out to us closer to your reservation date if you intend to rent a boat or bring one, so we can estimate the water depth at that time.

Security cameras exist ONLY on all exterior entrance doors as well as overlooking driveway, for our safety and safety of guests.
Parking is NOT allowed in garage. Driveway has been able to accommodate up to 7 cars. Parking is allowed only in driveway or directly adjacent to our property.
Extras: Check the closet in one of our main house bedrooms for a new Graco pack and play with built in changing pad, child safety gates, a restaurant style wooden high chair and a baby wash tub. For dogs, we are equipped with a small wire kennel, bowls, dog shampoo and puppy toys.

My husband and I enjoy the great outdoors - fishing, camping and rv-ing. We've lived in Colorado, Texas and Maine. I grew up in Texas and convinced my husband and kids to move back here with me, and that's when we found the lake house and fell in love. I could see its potential for not only our family, but many others, to make priceless memories. It's been a labor of love and a lot of unexpected dollars, but we wouldn't trade it. We moved back to Colorado, but we remain Texans at heart.
