Family-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Tawakoni

Very peaceful and beautiful place, my family and I enjoyed it so much, my 70 old father and the adult grandkids said that is the new family vacation spot for summers when we go to visit our daughter. Very rustic, but well taken care of property. My dad loved the coffee they provided.

Close to the city, in the forest. Our dogs were happy to stay there. Relaxing atmosphere. Good view. Good getaway. Just for the information, there is no way to cook if you plan to so just be prepared.

I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this place!!! This house was gorgeous and very well-kept! The owners thought of everything that travelers may need. They also had various snacks, movies, and games for the children. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. The owners have bird feeders up, so it was really nice getting to see all the birds flying around the backyard. There were so many beautiful cardinals and we saw 1 blue jay. Stephanie and Jan were such friendly and amazing people! Whatever we needed, they always answered quickly. The home was very comfortable and we had such a good stay! We were even allowed to have visitors! Most of the Airbnbs that we have stayed at did not allow visitors, so it was nice to be able to have our family over. We will definitely stay here again!

Had an excellent stay . Felt relaxed enjoying all the nature and amenities. Away from distractioms but close enough to town for any needs. I deffinitely recommend!

Peaceful getaway. We enjoyed our stay in the family cabin. The beds were very comfortable and there’s a nice back deck to sit on that’s enjoyable for morning coffee or a nice evening.

Our family of 10 really enjoyed the open space outside to fish, play baseball and football. The kitchen was nicely stocked.

Would be happy to stay here again if I was in the area. The house has plenty of space and is comfortable. We were there during the off season and it was quiet and peaceful. What an amazing view from the living room, kitchen, and two of the bedrooms! We used the kitchen daily and found everything we needed was readily available. The yard is surprisingly large and our dogs loved walking on the property and the neighborhood (on leash of course!). Morgan was a great host and checked in through the app to make sure everything was going well.

The best Airbnb I have stayed in. So many amenities like records and a record player. It is super relaxing listing to the night critters next to a camp fire. I booked this trip to get away from downtown Dallas, it gave me everything I need. They own an antique store in Winnsboro where all guests get a discount. Such great living out here, will 100% be back. THANK YOU!

We have stayed at this house 4 times now. We LOVE it! The house is beautiful and has everything you need. The beds are comfortable. The view is amazing. We absolutely love getting to use their boats in the private lake. This house is so special to us and we always have such a great time and make wonderful memories. Dennis is a great host and is always there to answer questions. I highly recommend this beautiful cabin!

Our family had an amazing stay. The home was spacious and incredibly comfortable. The lakeview both day and night were absolutely gorgeous. Just what we needed. This was a great place to stay! The home and property were beautiful and in a very peaceful location. The weekly cleaning service was amazing for our group. Kathy and Jeff were very helpful and communicative as well. I would recommend being hosted by them to anyone and would definitely stay there again!

This was the perfect setting for our large family get-together. They really make the best use of this space, inside and out. The access to the lake was awesome. The grounds are set up with so many options for kids and adults. We were able to visit and relax while the kids entertained themselves on the putting green, swingset, or lakeshore. I would definitely book this again.

Delinda's place is even more beautiful and welcoming than the photos! It has so much character and so many little details that make you feel right at home. It's incredibly comfortable and well maintained–we walked into probably the cleanest and freshest smelling Airbnb we've ever stayed in. Even though you're in a remote location, you can drive 15 minutes for groceries or whatever else you may need. But there's so much to do on the property–whether just relaxing on the porch or taking a walk or sitting in the hot tub–that you won't want to leave. We will absolutely stay here again! Such a special place and Delinda was a wonderful host.

Just want to express my gratitude to Gerard and Ramona for the use of their place. My parents live 2.3 miles away and we wanted to have my family down from Northern VA for the holidays. This included my youngest daughter's boyfriend's family from California, who after the weekend became family as my daughter's boyfriend proposed to her at the Cowboys/Redskins game. Even though we were not there much of the time the place is much larger than the square footage indicates and the place is immaculate. Eventually my Mom and Dad will be moving to an even smaller place in a retirement facility and I plan on coming back to the Little Red cabin! On suggestion for our circumstances in particular would be to remove the materials on the driveway. Even though we had ample space to park the 42' fifth wheel RV, having the extra room would have made jockeying around a bit easier. Regardless, this place was a godsend for what my family needed this Christmas, not just in its proximity but also in its overall comfortableness. Thank you very much for providing a place that allowed so many of us to come together for an unforgettable Holiday!!

Beautiful family retreat with access to the most peaceful lake. Trips on the paddle boat, the fire pit, great handout and sleeping spaces make this an ideal spot for holidays and vacations. I highly recommend and hope to return! The place is very clean, well stocked (no dishwasher though!), bedding is comfy and plentiful, and the host is excellent and helpful!

This is an very lovely property, the photos don't do it justice, especially with how roomy and spacious it is. Briana is an extremely responsive and accommodating host, we would love to come visit again!
