The space
The Red Brick Retreat on Market - 1600+ sq feet. A little old, a little luxe. Step into this three-story historic row home, where original details like exposed brick walls, glass-blown windows, and delightfully creaky floors tell the story of 1800s. The slightly imperfect floors and walls only add to its unique charm.
We’ve paired all that character with modern comforts — from high-speed internet to smart lighting — and designed every corner with relaxation and coziness in mind.

Other things to note
STEPS
The house is historic and has narrow stairs that may be difficult for some people to manage. There are 4 steps outside, 12 steps from the 1st floor with the bathroom, office, and main bedroom, and 13 steps from the 2nd floor to the 2nd bedroom.
PARKING
The parking space is in a private lot a 2-minute walk away. Some large SUVs or trucks may be a tight fit. Street parking is available in the event the parking spot is too small.
PLANTS
We have live plants in the house, which can occasionally attract a soil gnat. We treat the soil regularly to avoid this.
TEMPS
The house is historic and is drafty, which can be chilly in the wintertime. We provide space heaters and draft snakes. The attic is the hottest room and heats up when you crank the heat. It has a window fan unit and portable fans. Nice and cool in the summer thanks to our brand new HCAV with UV filtration for extra clean air.
DOGS
We love hosting well-behaved pups, but to keep our home feeling fresh and comfortable for all guests (some of whom may have allergies), we accept pets on a case-by-case basis.
If approved, there’s a $75 pet fee (already included if you added your pup to the reservation), which helps us cover the extra time and care our cleaning team devotes to resetting the space — plus, it lets us continue offering thoughtful touches like dog blankets, a gated kitchen, and little treats.
We just ask that pups aren’t left alone unless crated, use the nearby green space for potty breaks, and enjoy snuggles on the couch with a dog blanket. 🐶
We’re always happy to chat about your furry companion and see if we’re a good fit. 💛
LOCATION
The house is located in a downtown area. There is sometimes street noise, neighbors/people smoking as they walk by or in front of their homes along with other noises/smells that happen in a city. Cannabis has been legalized in MD as of July 2023. We are unable to control the sounds and smells outside of the house.
