Welcome to Rancho Pionera, an inspired desert ranch escape surrounded by breathtaking views and a 5-min walk to Pappy & Harriets and historic Pioneertown, designed with modern comforts + vintage nuance.
Work remotely or lose time escaping work 'off grid' and clearing your mind in the Hot Tub while breathing in 360° views, the Cowboy Pool, communing with Joshua Trees, Stargazing, or connecting with friends in Western retreat mode!
The space
Open yet private nature surrounds the spacious 3 bedroom house with many hangout zones. We are all about comfort with central A/C + heat, solid wifi, and large TV with streaming media, roomy beds with memory foam toppers, fresh pillows and linens, cozy Fireplace, and lots of character throughout.
We have an indoor wood-burning fireplace, kitchen with full amenities, and a grill. The outdoor spaces are incredible with multiple tree-shaded areas, hot tub, an updated former chicken coop, and rustic barn.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house, the front and back of the property, the outer mini barn, and the coop. The garage, metal shipping container and surrounding land around the property are not accessible.
Other things to note
The High Desert is a place of serene, untouched beauty and free wildlife. We respect this as guests of nature and ask that you do too!
Being in a remote location in the Mojave Desert, the house's setting is 'wild' - there can be ants, spiders, flying bugs. Even after 9 years of living here, the desert can be very unpredictable. We do our best to keep pests at bay. Keeping the doors closed especially at night is the most important thing on the guest end. Given nature’s unpredictability we are available and present to help but do not give refunds for anything nature wise that might pop up.

My work: design and education
I am a California native, explorer, and dreamer. When not hosting or traveling, I work in art education and design. I love history, community, and unique homes, which is what our Pioneertown Rancho Pionera is all about, renovated to re-imagine a space in both new and vintage ways and extend the invitation for all to escape and be inspired as we have -- in an amazing location! The best thing about a home like this is sharing it.
