The space
We love the desert, Palm Springs, and feel extremely lucky to own a piece of architectural history. Our home was built in 1951 by the Alexander Company and designed by William Krisel. It's a classic mid-century modern with exposed tongue and groove wooden beams and natural light throughout.

Pet policy: We love dogs, HOWEVER I am severely allergic to pet hair and dander therefore we ask that you only bring your pet if they are hypoallergenic. When booking please let me know what your dogs breed is. 2 Maximum. We don't have an additional fee for pets as we know they are family. Please be mindful.
Rules for the fur babies: Do not use the backyard as your toilet please walk them outside to Victoria Park which is around the corner, no dogs in the pool, please limit the time you leave your pup alone in the house.

Palm Springs operates a City mandated Transient Occupancy Tax for all guests reservations, this applies to hotel stays as well as Airbnbs. The Transient Occupancy Tax is set by the City of Palm Springs at a fixed rate charge of 12.5% of your total booking. Which goes directly to the city, you can pay this upon arrival to the property manager who checks you in.

Neighborhood highlights

An absolute must when you stay walk all the streets in the neighborhood! Racquet Club Estates is famed for the Alexander Company built mid-century homes. There is so much history in this neighborhood.

It’s a quiet neighborhood with a big park with kids play area just 100 yards away. Free tennis courts, downtown area, hiking, large Albertsons grocery store are all about a mile away. Also some great public golf courses less than 10 min drive.

PLEASE NOTE:
Our home is on a busy road. When you are in the backyard you will hear some street noise. Noise sensitivity per person varies, if you are extremely sensitive to noise this might not be the place for you. We notice that the weekend traffic is not very busy but again this is a very personal preference. Please have a read of past guest reviews.

Pool heating is $65 per day and we recommend this from October to May so the pool temp is 85f.

Hi! My name is Arlene and my husband and I love living in California we are both transplants- I grew up in beautiful Vail Colorado and he in Belfast Northern Ireland. I love skiing, hiking and have recently in Palm Springs taken up tennis. We are total foodies and will provide some of our favourite local restaurant recommendations to help guide your stay. I love home decor, architecture, and finding treasures at the local vintage shops in PS many of which you will find in the house.
