Comfy bed for better sleep

The room-darkening shades and extra bedding are loved by guests.
Located in the heart of Soulard, a dense STL neighborhood with a French Quarter vibe and the center of St. Louis' music scene, this historic two story carriage house is close to everything (WalkScore of 92/100). After enjoying the sights, unwind in the gated patio oasis or in the large spa tub upstairs. Just a half block to the famous Soulard farmer's market and to tons of bars/restaurants (most offer free shuttles to Cardinals, Blues, STL City, and Battlehawk games).

The space
The carriage house is a separate two story building in the rear of the gated courtyard behind the main house.

Please Note: The bedroom and bathroom are accessible via the spiral staircase, and the cobblestone in front of the entrance is uneven. Both could be problematic for small children or guests with limited mobility.

The main house could be occupied by other AirBNB guests. Please note that the courtyard is shared with guests of the main house.

Guest access
All of the carriage house is private to the guests. The patio is shared with the main house. Please make yourself at home!

Other things to note
The main house is listed separately "The PS House". We plan to offer options for guests to reserve both the Carriage House and the main house.

Neighborhood highlights

Soulard, the oldest residential neighborhood in St. Louis, exudes charm and personality perhaps more than any other neighborhood in the city. 18th Century French influences of the first settlers permeate with red brick row houses and cobblestone tree-lined streets where the carriage steps are still standing. Equally influential was the wave of German settlers from the mid 1800's who included Adolphus Busch, founder of Anheuser Busch on the southern edge of the neighborhood (where brewery tours still top the lists of tourist attractions to this day), and Philip "Granite" Schneider, original owner of the main house who supplied granite for Eads Bridge (an architectural marvel and the first bridge in the US to cross the Mississippi River), City Hall (home of the present day Mayor's office), and the Old Post Office (which spans an entire city block)--all of which are still standing and functioning today.

Presently, Soulard is the epicenter of the famed St. Louis blues music scene and home to the biggest Mardi Gras celebration in 49 states. Dozens of restaurants, bars, shops, and galleries dot every block. Live music with talented musicians is plentiful and cover charges are rare (we really are spoiled here). We also have some of the best patios in the city to boot! The ambiance is casual, friendly, and booze forward. Think French Quarter, but cleaner, less expensive, and less crowded :)

Where I went to school: Washington University, St. Louis
My work: Pharma Sales Manager
I’m a St. Louis native & currently live here with my husband & cohost Tyler & our 3 boys. Entertaining friends and family has always been a favorite pastime, so moving into property hosting was an exciting step to take after a career change! We own all of our properties and manage them ourselves. When in town, we love exploring all the city has to offer and meeting new people. Reach out for questions or to chat about recommendations. Cheers!
