Find a comfortable place to land on the prairie at this two-bedroom house. Cozy space and a large, shaded backyard await you at 333. This house features many hand-crafted furniture pieces and custom artwork. We have put a lot of love into this home, and we hope you can feel it when you walk in!

Prairy Guest House is located within sight of a well-cared for dog park, and there are multiple parks within easy walking distance. Hesston College is less than a mile away, as is Schowalter Villa.

The space
Warm and inviting, this house provides a comfortable place for individuals or families to spend time. Lots of space for cooking, shade for lounging, and beds for sleeping! Home-built furniture accents and art pieces make this home unique and personal.

Guest access
The entire home and yard area is available for guests.

The garage is also my woodshop, but we will not be in that space unless we have made specific arrangements with each guest. We ask that cars not be parked in the garage, but guests are welcome to use that space to store bikes or other items during your stay.

Other things to note
Although we hope you don't have to use it, there is a poured-cement storm shelter accessible from inside the house - there are steps just off the laundry room to the shelter area in the unlikely event of a tornado or severe storms. Hesston tests their tornado sirens every Monday around 10am in good weather, and the sirens are easy to hear from the house!

Excel Industries is within sight, and Hesston College is a short 3 block walk. Mulitple city parks, the city aquatic center, and splash pad are within a half mile. Head east towards the highway for a cup of coffee at the locally-owned Lincoln Perk, or a variety of other restaurants. Walk uptown to visit antique stores or our award-winning local library.

My family and I have called Hesston home for almost 20 years, being transplanted from Virginia and Ohio. We love the small community, the accessibility of the town for biking and walking, and being 7 hours from the mountains isn't bad, either! My husband and I enjoy a good DIY project - whether it's building furniture, crafting a solution to a house-problem using tools on hand, or fixing things - so this house has been a fun and fulfilling project for our family. Our property is adjacent to this rental, so we hope we can be good neighbors if you come to stay here!
