Washington Heights is a neighborhood in the northern portion of the New York City borough of Manhattan. It is named for Fort Washington, a fortification constructed by Continental Army troops during the American Revolutionary War on the highest natural point on Manhattan island to defend the area from the British forces. Washington Heights is bordered by Inwood to the north along Dyckman Street, Harlem to the south along 155th Street, the Harlem River and Coogan's Bluff to the east, and the Hudson River to the west.

I've lived in this neighborhood since 2015 and just love it! It's a quiet, almost suburban-like, neighborhood that brings great respite at the end of a busy day downtown! Walking distance to the Cloisters and one of the most beautifully gardened and landscaped parks in NYC, it's safe AND beautiful.
Currently I work from home so I'm available most of the day to help our guests navigate public transit and find fun things to do in the city. I go out a lot in the evenings, enjoying theater, opera, art, and food so I can make recommendations often based on first-hand experience. I have travelled all over the world and though there are so many beautiful cities, I can't imagine living anywhere else than here. New York City is magnificent.
