Our Happy Hytte (pronounced hit-uh, meaning cabin in Norway- see the Norway 🇳🇴 in pics) is a dog welcoming (no pet fee) cabin in Murphy, NC. 20 min from the Cherokee Forest, 30 min from the Nantahala, & 15 from Blairsville & Blue Ridge. We have a gated deck to keep your little ones & fur babies close by. Great for couples who want 2 baths. Front porch view of a pond, hand made chairs, and thoughtful amenities, so you can come to the mountains & relax. All that plus fast internet AND a hot tub

The space
This is a cozy two bedroom two bathroom traditional log cabin. The master suite has a queen sized Casper mattress & private bath. The second bedroom has two bunks, four twin beds for your kids or friends. We provide a nicely sized kitchen and dining area with basic spices, oil, salt and pepper, coffee, tea, creamer, honey and all the items you need to cook during your stay. The living room has quality leather sofas perfect for napping or watching a DVD (we have 325 films including 50 just for kids) or streaming on a rainy day. The wrap around porch offers a hot tub, 3 rockers, a swing and outdoor dining. Just a few steps down is the fire-pit in the side yard.

Guest access
This is an entire cabin that you will have all to yourself. We do not live on the property. The cabin is part of a small community of log cabins which share a community pond and a 1.5 mile hiking trail that starts at the end of our drive and loops back around.

Other things to note
This is a mountain home, but it is very easy to find and NOT at the top of a crazy hill. You will find paved roads all the way to our drive. The drive is gravel but it is a slight downhill descent to get to the cabin. We have our twinkle lights on a timer so that you can find us even in the dark. We even have high speed internet and a hot tub now!
