The space
Located in Upper Moonridge, one of Big Bear’s most desirable destinations, this cozy, mid-century inspired cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway or an intimate family gathering. The interior of the cabin is very cozy with a wood-burning fireplace, 3 comfortable bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, plus a loft for lounging and playing games.

Guest access
You will have full, private access to the entire property and our amenities during your stay. (Exception we have a basement with a separate entrance underneath the cabin, which guests do NOT have access to.)
Other than that, you'll be left alone unless you need help. We have a local manager available to help if anything comes up.

** Winter Alert: (Nov 1- April 30) road conditions can change quickly, guests are legally required to bring 4x4 car or chains with you when traveling. To check road conditions, go to highway patrol online map & check all the boxes under Options (Road Conditions). Then zoom into the Big Bear area. **
- OCCUPANCY -
Maximum of 8 people per reservation (day or night).
** The home can comfortably sleep 8 people in beds. But the living areas are on the smaller side, so you may be more comfortable with 6 people in the reservation **
- PARKING -
Driveway fits 4 cars that is the maximum number of cars allowed per our short term rental permit.
Additional cars will result in fine from the county. There is no garage. (NO RV PARKING)
** No street parking at any time **
- HVAC -
We do have central heating, but no air conditioning, like most homes in Big Bear. Mountain air keeps things cool, we also have provided fans during the summer months.
- BEDROOM BLINDS -
All bedrooms have room darkening blinds. The two downstairs bedrooms can get completely dark, however, the primary upstairs bedroom does have a triangle window in the A-Frame that does not have cover. It will let sunlight through in the morning.
- HOT TUB -
You are using this at your own risk. No excessive drinking or drug usage while utilizing this amenity. Please rinse off beforehand. Please cover when not in use.
Do not put anything in the hot tub, including but not limited to, bubble bath, soaps and oils. If the hot tub requires a drain and fill after your stay, you will be responsible for the charges of the service or repair.
- BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS -
We have Alexa in the property that is hooked up to a property Spotify account. Simply ask her to play whatever music you'd like!
- ARRIVAL -
4WD recommended during winter, we always suggest bringing chains as well.
- SNOW -
Snow will be removed from the home as required before your arrival. However, during your stay you will be responsible for maintaining the snow accumulation. A timely departure will still be required even if snow falls. Our housekeeping team is busy and must have access to the home at check out time.
We do have numbers for snow vendors if you are interested in hiring someone to remove snow. Otherwise there is a shovel located on the premises.
- QUIET HOURS -
(10pm-7am) and occupancy limits are strictly enforced.
- No speakers or sound systems allowed.
- No parties or events allowed at any given time.
- Indoor sound cannot be loud enough to be audible at the property line.
Noise ordinance violations can result in fines up to $1,000. Guests are required to pay any fines incurred during their stay.
- EVENTS –
Absolutely NO events or parties. Neighbors will quickly call us. Your stay will be immediately terminated and no refund given.
- PETS -
We allow up to 1 pet (DOGS ONLY) per booking. They must be added to the booking prior to check in and the pet fee must be paid. No pets on furniture or beds. No pets allowed in the hot tub. We do ask that you please pick up all poop, and let us know if there are any damages.
- SHOES & SNOW GEAR -
Please kindly remove your shoes while in the house. Leave shoes in the mudroom and snow gear/equipment on the deck.
- HEATER -
Please do not put the heater under 55 degrees and do not turn off. Any lower and the pipes will freeze. You will be liable for damages.
- CANDLES -
Please do not burn any candles anywhere in or on the property.
- FIREPIT -
Please do not heat any food, including marshmallows/s’mores, in the fireplace or outdoor firepit. Doing so in the firepit will cause the heating element to get clogged, and use in either can result in additional cleaning/repair fees. A small portable tabletop fire bowl is provided for s’mores. Please see additional instructions for use.
- SMART HOME FEATURES -
-Equipped with a Smart TVs in the living room and bedrooms, log into any of your streaming apps with ease.
-Ask Alexa to play your favorite music on the cabin’s Spotify account, use Alexa as a bluetooth speaker or ask her to turn on/off the cafe lights in the deck and holiday lights (seasonal).
-The cabin also includes a smart thermostat, leak detectors, and carbon monoxide and smoke detectors.
- INDOOR FIREPLACE -
We do not provide wood for the indoor fireplace. If you would like to use it, we recommend stopping for firewood on your way to the property.
Please dispose of ashes from the fireplace in the provided metal ash can (located outside the front door). DO NOT DUMP ASHES IN ANY OTHER RECEPTACLE. If you cannot find the metal ash can, please do NOT remove ashes. The cleaners will dispose of the ashes properly.
- SECURITY CAMERAS -
For security purposes, we have security cameras viewing the exterior surroundings of the property. There are no cameras viewing the interior, and no cameras on the hot tub. If you have any concerns about privacy, please contact us before booking.
- CHILDREN -
Children may not be left unattended on the deck and especially not in or near the hot tub.
The cabin is thoughtfully equipped for families with young children. You’ll find children’s plates, bowls, cups, and utensils in the kitchen, along with books, toys, and puzzles in the game loft, which has a retractable child safety gate. Step stools are provided in each bathroom and under the kitchen sink for easy access.
If you need any baby or toddler gear, please let your host know in advance, ideally at the time of booking. Available items include: a pack-and-play, high chair, baby bathtub, potty, and hiking backpack. We’re happy to place it in the cabin before your arrival.
- SMOKING -
This is a smoke-free property. No smoking or vaping inside or outside, video monitoring enforcement. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $950 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
- CHECK OUT -
Check out is 11am. Late check out will be charged $160/hr past 11am.
- TRASH -
All trash and recycling must be placed in the bins out front and securely locked to prevent animals from getting in.
- FIRES -
It is prohibited by law that any kind of open fire whatsoever. You are allowed to use what is provided for you.
- COMMERCIAL FILMING -
Commercial filming and photography requires prior consent and a location fee does apply.
- ADDITIONAL FINES -
Additional Cleaning, Linen & Spa Use Policy
• Standard Turnover Cleaning Included
Standard turnover cleaning is included and covers normal use of the home consistent with Airbnb checkout standards.
• Excessive Cleaning
If the home requires cleaning beyond standard turnover due to excessive mess, spills, trash, stains, or conditions inconsistent with normal use, additional cleaning fees may be charged to cover the extra labor required.
• Stained or Damaged Towels & Linens
Towels, linens, or bedding that are permanently stained, damaged, or cannot be cleaned through standard laundering will be charged at replacement cost (please use the black towels provided for makeup removal to help keep white linens clean).
• Spa / Hot Tub Use & Misuse
The spa is serviced as part of normal turnover.
If spa water must be drained, refilled, or require additional service beyond standard maintenance due to misuse (including food, drinks, oils, excessive debris, or improper chemical use), additional service charges will apply.
• Charges & Documentation
Any additional charges will be limited to actual replacement or service costs and may be requested through Airbnb with supporting documentation.
