We have been Airbnb hosts since early 2016 and are very proud to be an Airbnb Superhost. Only 3% of all Airbnb host are superhosts - its really hard to achieve (and keep) it. Airbnb define a Superhost as someone who goes above and beyond in their hosting duties and is a shining example of how a Host should be. We feel very humbled to have received about 300 reviews from all round the world from Guests who have stayed with us on Waiheke Island. Here are a few to give you an idea of what our Guests think about us. Mieke from Auckland - December 2021. "Hosts were fantastic at communicating." George from Canterbury, NZ - July 2021. "Great hosts, very communicative and accommodating." Kylie from Auckland - June 2021. "Hosts were very friendly and responsive to deal with." Jek from Auckland - March 2021. "Wonderful hosts and super speedy responses." James from Christon, UK - July 2017. "Amazing place hosted by a wonderfully hospitable and thoughtful couple." Shuchi from London, UK - October 2016. "Dave and Fiona were very responsive to our questions." Check out some of the other reviews - you will get a feeling on how we like to go the extra mile for our Guests. Fiona is a very keen runner and cyclist and has probably been on every walking/running track and road on Waiheke Island, and is most happy to help out with local knowledge. When on Waiheke, Dave can be found either in one of Waiheke Island's idyllic bays trying (usually not too successfully) to catch a fish for dinner or chilling out with a glass of wine at one of Waiheke Island's fantastic vineyards. We both absolutely love Waiheke Island and spend as much time there as possible. What we love about Waiheke is - its so close to downtown Auckland (only about 35 - 40 minutes by the passenger ferry - and yet it could be a million miles away) - the wine and the vineyards - the great restaurants and food - the amazing beaches, native bush and bird life - there are no traffic lights - there is no stress (well that's what we like to think - at the ferry terminal there is a sign that says - Slow Down You Are Here - which we think sums up things nicely) We look forward to having you stay as our Guests. Fiona works in the office at Cable Bay vineyard on the island so can help out if you need help. If you have any questions or issues let us know any time of the day or night - we will help where ever we can. Dave and Fiona
