We didn't have the heart to tear down Grandma Hilde's house. So we renovated the house for 1 year and got as much charm as possible. Enjoy your own hideaway with a large sun terrace, the old half-timbered but modern facilities. The house is at the narrowest point of Starkenburg, so that you can enjoy the distant view towards the Mosel river and the beautiful Ahringstal. Available (fee): Breakfast in the café, e-bike hire, panorama sauna, wine sales

The space
The vacation home with 4,5 bedrooms is ideal for small groups and families. Fresh towls and beddings are availabe and in the morning we can provide you with rolls or croissants if you like. Certainly you can enjoy breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in our Café Schöne Aussicht . Our sauna, a table tennis room and our e-bike rental are at your disposal.

Other things to note
What about a hiking or cycling? The Moselsteig Trail runs right by the house and e-bikes can be borrowed from us.

Our 85 degree sauna is sized for 4 people. There is a changing area, a relaxation room with magazines and books, an exit to the large terrace with a view of the Moselle and tables/benches and a fridge with drinks and snacks. Use of the sauna (subject to a charge) daily at 15.00, 17.30 or 20.00 by appointment.

If you want to come to us with little children, it is important to know that they always have to be supervised. We are right on the slope and in some places in the garden it is relatively steep down the paths.

Starkenburg is a small wine village above the Mosel river with a magnificent view and many hours of sunshine. Nature and village life is big here. Here the tractor still drives through the village and in the evening you usually hear only the chirping of the crickets.
