The home features thoughtfully appointed rooms to ensure a comfortable stay and plenty of outdoor spaces to slow down, enjoy the fresh air and truly take a break from busy lives.

The space
Our light, bright and super cozy home features all the modern amenities (Apple TV, bluetooth speakers, reliable super high-speed cable internet (200+Mbps download, 20+Mbps upload) for your Zoom video conferences) you need to stay connected and curated for your enjoyment with a selection of books, games, puzzles and more coffee brewing devices and houseplants than seems reasonable.

The bounty of "outdoor living" areas really make this home feel magical; a screened-in dining porch for morning coffee or summer evenings outside, BBQ grill, a moss-covered gazebo, multiple deck spaces and a fire pit area for roasting marshmallows and star gazing surrounded by seasonal ferns and perennial gardens.

The house is nestled against a forest of trees and set back on a calm country road with a view of the Catskill mountains and relatively few neighbors.

There is a small owner’s cottage set back on the property away from the main home. We will notify you if we will be there during your stay.

We hope you have a chance to explore this amazing area but will understand if you'd prefer to make yourselves at home and stay put - we often do! The entire home, outdoor spaces and grounds (6+ acres of backwoods behind the house, the forest extends for miles) are available for your enjoyment.

Olive is the perfect place to base yourself to enjoy all the Catskills has to offer. We are a close drive to great hiking trails, watering holes, and the Ashokan Reservoir which you can walk/bike around while taking in breathtaking mountain views. Other favorite sites include: Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Mountain Preserve and Vernooy Kill Falls. Choose from the amazing local breweries, orchards and chocolate makers or check out nearby towns of Kingston, Woodstock and Phoenicia. Everything is within 15-30 minutes. Hunter & Bellayre Mountains are a 45 minute drive for skiing/snowboarding.
