The space
Olive Pod is designed with relaxation in mind, with neutral tones throughout. From the soft cream interior to the white bed linen, you'll find the whole space has a natural tranquil feel. Outside you'll find a decked walkway leading to outdoor seating, a wood fired hot tub, fire pit and BBQ. Giving you everything you need to have an amazing stay
It is a beautiful space, set up for couples and is exclusively for adults only! Olive Pod is a self-catering, self-check-in airbnb, so we provide our guests with plenty of information, 'How to' videos and guides to make you as self-sufficient as possible.
We pride ourselves on providing excellent online support during your stay, to ensure it runs smoothly. We are at the other end of the airbnb app during your stay and you can also call us for anything urgent.
‼️ IMPORTANT BEFORE BOOKING: Olive Pod is strictly adults only. Infants, children, and pets are not permitted. Bookings made in breach of this policy will be cancelled. If you arrive with infants, children, or pets, you will be refused check-in and no refund will be given.
INSIDE THE POD:
The pod itself houses the bedroom, dining area, seating area and kitchen. Just tucked behind the pod is your own private shower room - it's no more than a couple of steps from the pod door.
BEDROOM: Relax in our gorgeous Super-King sized bed with a fully orthopaedic mattress with a heated mattress protector for extra warmth. Not only will you be comfortable, but also not short of space in this gorgeous big bed. We also have a projector and screen for the ultimate cozy night in.
BATHROOM: Tucked just behind the pod is your own private shower room. Complete with toilet, basin and shower. Inside you'll find both shower and hot tub towels provided for you, so you don't have to pack them. The pod shower room is no more than a couple of steps from the pod door and has its own heating.
KITCHEN: Olive Pod also boasts a wonderful, well kitted-out kitchen. Built using recycled and reclaimed wood, you'll find the kitchen tucked just behind the bed, inside the pod. The kitchen has almost everything you'd have at home, so you'll be able to make your meals inside the pod if you're not looking to dine out. In the kitchen you'll find:

- Coffee pod machine
- Milk frother
- Mini induction hob
- Air fryer
- Microwave
- Fridge (no freezer we're afraid)
- Plus all the cutlery, cooking instruments, dining equipment and pans you need to cook.
PLUS! Outside you'll also find a charcoal BBQ for alfresco dining - We provide you with the charcoal, so no need to bring anything along for this.
OUTSIDE: You'll find a decked walkway leading to all the outdoor amenities you'll need, to make your stay truly special. We have a gorgeous wood-fired hot tub, outdoor dining area, BBQ and fire pit, which has been built into the centre of the deck walkway.
You may be lucky enough to see many species of local wildlife during your stay such as deer, foxes, pheasants, rabbits and birds of prey. You may even get a visit from Reggie our neighbours cat who likes to think of himself as the local security guard.
If you head out directly from our back gate you will walk straight onto the Sheepleas - a
beautiful nature reserve perfect for long countryside walks.

SPIDERS & BUGS: Olive Pod is not only popular with guests but also at times bugs and spiders. This is not only due to the beautiful decor and gorgeous facilities, but also as we are in a rural location and the nature of the pod structure. We unfortunately are unable to make the pod completely bug and spider free as they can get in through some of the small gaps in the dome. We will remove everything prior to your stay, but unfortunately sometimes they still find their way in.
PRIVACY:
The pod is situated in a field with no other pods or tents. It is important to note that we do occasionally walk through the bottom of the field to walk our dogs and ride our horses as it’s the only access onto the local woodland. The field is completely private at night with no-one passing through it.
HOT TUB HEATING: Our gorgeous hot tub is log-fired, which gives you the opportunity to really embrace Glamping life. We know for some you might not be pros in lighting fires, do we will provide you with a great video to talk you through the process. Our video is very informative, as it's easier than it might seem, it just take perseverance at the beginning. Please don’t hesitate contact us if you’re having any problems with lighting it.
Prior to your stay, we empty, sanitise and re-fill the hot tub. This is the standard hygiene practice for all un-filtered hot tubs. This does mean that we will not have time to get the hot tub hot for your arrival, however we will light it for you before you arrive. The hot tub takes between 4 - 6 hours to heat depending on air and ground temperatures.
OLIVE POD HEATING & COOLING: Olive Pod's main source of heating is a log burning stove. This is an excellent source of heating. You will need to be able to light and maintain a fire to heat the pod with the log burning stove - if this is something you are not used to, we do also provide 'How to' videos, as we are not on-site available to light this for you.
To top up the heat, you will have a radiator inside the pod to use too. We also provide you with a heated mattress cover, to keep you nice and cosy. If you require additional heating, pop us a message during your stay so we can provide you with more heaters.
In the summer months, we will provide you with an air conditioning unit to ensure you stay cool. This is sufficient to cool the space, without the need of additional fans
LOGS, FIRELIGHTERS & MATCHES: We'll get you started with a great bundle of logs, firelighters and matches. This is included in your accommodation cost. Any additional logs or firelighters you need, can be purchased through us (if available) or across the road there is a garden centre, which stocks everything you need. This is within walking distance and open Monday to Sunday.
CHILDREN, PETS & ADDITIONAL GUESTS: Unfortunately due to insurance and safety we are unable to allow any additional guests, children, infants or pets onsite during your stay. Poo
Guest access
Accessed through a locked, private driveway off the main road. You'll park in a private parking area just before the Olive Pod gate. Once parked you'll find a trolley available by the gate to bring your case or bags up to our Pod. As you walk the windy grass pathway through the field to our Olive Pod you'll enter the Pod through the green door.
Other things to note
ACCESSABILITY:
Due to the environment and set up of Olive Pod it may not be suitable for someone with limited mobility. The pod is on a raised deck without rails, access is via a field on uneven ground and the bathroom is located just outside the pod. If you have any questions with regards to accessibility, please drop us a message on Airbnb prior to your booking.
