Kick back at Old Salt, our cozy getaway with everything you need after a day of fun in the sun! A short walk to our beautiful beach with bathhouse, boardwalk, and gazebo from which to catch ahhh-mazing sunsets. A mile from the pier, beach-front restaurants, Fort Macon.

The space
Guests bring their own bath, beach and hand towels and king sheets; we provide clean blankets, pillows and comforter.

Our kitchen includes a sink, a drip coffee maker, a full-sized fridge, a convection toaster oven, a microwave oven and a two-top induction burner. Outdoor grills at the picnic area by the pool.

Neighborhood highlights

Old Salt at Atlantic Beach is perfectly situated between the Atlantic Ocean on one side and beautiful Bogue Sound on the other.

The Triple S Marina is just across the street and provides a great place to moor your watercraft, which you can use to boat across the sound to enjoy waterfront dining at award-winning restaurants in Morehead City or Beaufort.

A mile east at the eastern tip of Bogue Banks you'll find historic Fort Macon State Park, a fun-to-explore Civil War fort built in 1826 with guided tours and cannon and musket demos.

A mile west is the Oceanana pier, fabulous restaurants, including the famous Amos Mosquitos, Fort Macon State Park. Or try the Island Grille, a quaint, high-end surf-n-turf restaurant just another few minutes down the beach. Other restaurants and bars nearby include Tackle Box Tavern, Idle Hour Biergarten, Table 9, The Crab's Claw, and more, all less than 2 miles from The Roost. The NC Aquarium is 7 miles away, in nearby Pine Knoll Shores.

From our cozy condo, it's just a short walk to the beach access where you can fish, dolphin-watch, sunbathe, boat or pitch an umbrella and read.

Morehead City and historic Beaufort, the third oldest town in NC, are across the bridge, with fantastic restaurants, waterfront bars, live music, and seasonal festivals.
