Neighborhood highlights

Your Beach Home Away from Home is located in a quaint, walkable neighborhood that is great for biking, running, and walking. There is an eagle's nest you can see from the next neighborhood. Walk or use the provided bikes, stroller or old red wagon to see if you catch in it’s nest. It is not unusual to see eagles here.

Just down the street is a large, private beach which you will have access to during your stay. Beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, toys, and a kayak are provided.

The neighborhood also has a park a few houses away. It includes a tennis court, swings, softball field, grassy area, and basketball court.

You can walk to Sand Bar, Marconi's Italian Restaurant, Dairy Queen, Drug Mart, or the local grocery store. There is a free public boat launch about a mile away.

Those who vacation in Old Homestead often book year after year. My family started renting a week every summer when I was a little girl. We loved it so much, we bought a place 30 years ago. It's my favorite place in the world and I hope you have the opportunity to see why.

I love family, the beach, and being active. Since I was a little girl, I vacationed at Old Homestead One Beach in Huron, Ohio. My best memories were created in this small beach community. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind or stay busy with all of the local possibilities: bike rides, boat rides, kayaking, beach glass collecting, sun-bathing, eating ice cream, shopping, beach walks, basketball, tennis, and Cedar Point!
