Other things to note
In North Pole most houses have a septic sewer system and a private well for water.
For the use of the bathrooms it is important that one adapts the use of toiletpaper as well as making sure that other waist is placed in the waste-basket - not the toilet!
For the use of the shower and bathtub, pls note that the water from time to time might smell a lot like iron. That does not imply that the water is not purified and save, but simply that it is high in iron and mangan.
All homes in Alaska have a working water-purification-system in place - so do we!

However - for cooking and drinking we shop for water at the store.
Welcome to Alaska :-)

Richard and myself have been affiliated with the US-Army our whole married life up until now. So traveling is part of our family-culture - so to speak. We have four children who by now have children of their own and live in Germany. Which makes us "the traveling grandparents " taking care of our house back in Germany while visiting our kids -and their kids - on the go. When I am in Germany, Richard will welcome you - and he is the better host!!
