Come away to nature, peace, and tranquillity at an idyllic, self-contained stone cottage nestled in the heart of Northumberland, within a short walk to the North Tyne River, two village pubs, post office, convenience mart and church. Charm can be found in the original stone walls, oak beams, woodburning stove, cosy furniture, and a king-size bed. An excellent touring base, located near Hadrian’s Wall, Roman forts, Hexham Abbey, and Kielder Water and Forest Park.

The space
The cottage is warm, and the addition of a wood burning stove is a joy in the evenings playing a game of backgammon or chess. The bedroom features a comfortable king-sized bed. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in rain shower with a heated towel rack and a large light-up mirror. A well-equipped eat-in kitchen with state of the art appliances means you can cook in or venture down the road to the award-winning local pub for a delicious meal. The Nook Cottage also includes two Smart TV's and a DVD player.

We love living in the heart of the Northumberland countryside. From our location you can enjoy Riverside walks, meandering paths that loop through farmland, amazing cycle routes at Kielder Forest and excellent fly fishing on the North Tyne River. Break in your new hiking boots at Hareshaw Linn with a magical walk through an ancient woodland, crossing six bridges to reach an outstanding nine-metre high waterfall. If you need any ideas of where to run, bike, fish or dog walk, just ask.
