Light filled & roomy one bedroom apartment in the East End of Portland, Maine. Situated atop Munjoy Hill, equally located between Washington Ave (restaurants & breweries) and the ocean.
Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to everything. Coffee, pastries, & restaurants are 2 blocks away. Stroll the Promenade overlooking Casco Bay & the islands. Walk past the East End beach along the sea to the Old Port in 15 minutes
In our opinion, Munjoy Hill is the best best place to stay in Portland.
The space
The apartment is newly renovated with high ceilings & uncluttered simple decor that helps to provide a restorative and relaxing atmosphere. Windows on all four sides provide lots of natural light ~even on a cloudy day. The full kitchen is small but functional and includes a full size gas range and a small dishwasher.
The bedroom has a new king size memory foam mattress with two dimmable reading lights on each side.
In the living room ~ a large couch and a new 50" smart TV. (no cable, log into any of your streaming subscriptions )
Fast dedicated wifi with modem/router in unit. 500Mbps
This apartment is not suitable for children
This apartment is up one flight of stairs on the 2nd floor. Upstairs is another short term rental unit with a similar layout. You may hear footsteps from upstairs depending on the guests. Most people aren’t bothered by it, but if you’re very sensitive to sound, it’s something to be aware of.

Guest access
The private apartment is on the second floor - up one flight of stairs. Not best for someone with mobility issues. High ceilings and tons of natural light even on a dreary day. The unit consists of a good size living room, an eat in kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom.
Other things to note
Because there are two one bedrooms in the same building, it would be great option for friends or family traveling together.
There is plenty on free parking on the street.
In Winter. For parking bans mandated by the city because of snow, there will be access to off street parking.
Sorry, no children or pets.
