Other things to note
The day before you arrive, I will send you a message with access info, house rules, and other things to note. If this is off-putting, we are probably not a good fit for your group. The message looks like this:

You are coming to Mt. Shasta tomorrow!

Check in: 4PM
Checkout: 11 AM

-The code to the upstairs door is XXXX.
-The code to the downstairs door is XXXX

**If you somehow get locked out, there is a spare key in the lockbox located on the gate at the top of the driveway. The code is XXXX. ONLY REMOVE IF LOCKED OUT**

Just remember:
-No shoes in the house
-No smoking anywhere on the property (fees apply)
-No Pets (fees apply)
-No burning of candles or incense

We may stop by to access the garage and will let you know beforehand.

The WIFI info and other house information is located in the binder in the house.

TRASH: Please bag all trash and do not leave boxes or other trash next to the cans. We do not recycle because it didn’t work at the house, but you can take it to the recycling center down the street if you wish.

There could be snow or rain so plan your wardrobe accordingly. Be very careful when walking around as it may be icy. Do not sled in the driveway as it causes ice formation.

In the summer, open windows at night and close them and the shades during the day to keep it cool.

Please ventilate the house while cooking and try cooking bacon in the oven at 425 degrees on a foil-lined baking sheet. Works amazingly with no mess:)

There is a BBQ outside.

No need to buy bottled water here....we have some of the best stuff on earth right out of the tap! It wins contests...it is THAT good.

It is best to park all the way down the driveway, facing the fence to the right so 2 cars can come and go freely. You can also park on the street, but not in snowy conditions.

There is more info in the house binders and feel free to message me with any question or concerns.

Safe travels!

We pride ourselves on being a pet allergy-free home! Please do not ask us if we can make exceptions.

Neighborhood highlights

Take a 3 minute walk to the most happening coffee shop in town, Seven Suns, or walk 5 minutes the other way to your morning yoga class. Just across the street is the Mount Shasta Pastry shop and a few doors down is the bustling health food store, Berryvale. At the Alpenglow Bungalow, you are in the center of it all.

After you finish exploring the town on foot, you can continue the adventure by bike or car. Lake Siskiyou, Castle Lake, The Old Ski Bowl (7800'), and plenty of hiking, biking, paddling, golfing, swimming, climbing, fishing, and skiing options are all minutes away.

There is something here for everyone, whether it's a multi-day mountaineering expedition to the summit of 14,179' Mt. Shasta or a leisurely stroll to feed the rainbow trout in the Mt Shasta Fish Hatchery or something in between! Let me know what you want to do and I'll point you in the right direction, and maybe even let you in one some local secret spots. ;)

My work: Realtor
I'm obsessed with: My kids
I'm a city girl who gave up the frazzled, stressful grind for the tranquility of mountain life. I love to travel (and even did it for a living as a flight attendant on a private jet for 10 years) and am always up for the next adventure. Mount Shasta is home, though, and I love it here the most! I am an outdoor enthusiast and knowledgeable about everything Siskiyou County has to offer. Road biking, Mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, etc. etc...ask me for info and you shall receive! As a mother of a youngster, I can also share all the hot child-friendly spots with you. And let's not forget about my number one passion: food! Mt. Shasta has its share of gems and obscure dining specials that only the locals know about, and I will let you in on the secrets. Looking to move to the area? I am also a Realtor! As an Airbnb host, I am happy to be whoever you want me to be. Hands off or hands on...it is up to you. I would love to stop by to make sure your stay is world class, but am also happy to stay away and give you total privacy. Feel free to contact me with anything you may need to make your stay perfect. It is all about you! I am honored you are considering a visit to our little town. Hopefully it will change your life as it did mine.
