To ensure energy efficiency and a consistently comfortable environment, all our homes are equipped with smart thermostats. These thermostats are programmed with the following seasonal temperature limits:
- Summer Cooling: The system cools the home down to a minimum of 68°F
- Winter Heating: The system heats the home up to a maximum of 75°F

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire home. However, we DO NOT allow cars to be parked in the garage at this time.
The home is accessed via a steep mountain driveway. AWD or 4WD is required October through May, along with tires appropriate for the given season. Please ensure your vehicle is properly equipped for winter conditions if you are staying with us during this time.
Other things to note
**Winter Notice**
AWD or 4WD is required October through May. The driveway is steep, paved, and partially shaded, which can create icy conditions even with light snowfall due to melt and refreeze cycles common in the mountains.
Vehicles must have proper winter traction such as snow tires, strong tread, or chains or approved traction devices. Please inspect rental vehicles before leaving the lot to ensure they are winter capable. Drive no more than 10 mph on the driveway and use extra caution in snow or ice. Ride share services such as Uber and Lyft are not available in this area.
This area is home to moose, fox, deer, elk, bears, mountain lions, and bobcats. The house DOES NOT have air conditioning in the summer as the mountain air keeps the house cool in the summer months.
** Tuesdays **
A hot tub technician checks the chemicals and comes by between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. He has access to the garage and usually is in and out within 15 minutes. He will walk around the back side of the house to the hot tub and does not need access to the house. Please avoid using the hot tub for 6 hours after the hot tub cleaning, as per the cleaning company's recommendation.
** Fridays **
Trash is collected on Fridays! Please ensure the trash and recycling cans are in the driveway starting Thursday night. All trash and recycling must be bagged. Please review the house rules if you need further clarification :)
