HISTORY
Moon-A-Chalet was built in the late ’60s and fully renovated in 2020. Maintaining the original character of the home was of most importance while adding the conveniences that elevate the chalet to a modern escape. “Rosie” located outside in the rear of the chalet was a vision of one of the earlier owners. Sleeping one evening, the artist dreamt of handcrafting a stagecoach for the enjoyment of her granddaughter, “Rosie”. After jokingly sharing with her husband, she was bound to see the vision come to fruition. Based on a Studebaker chassis, the artist began sourcing her supplies and slowly watched the dream come to be in her backyard. While “Rosie” has a full-size mattress and two bar areas for entertainment, she is fragile, and therefore you can only peek in to see what character of “Rosie” lives on. “Rosie’s” night lights come on each evening so feel free to take a look and admire the craftsmanship and imagination that brought her to life.
