Lovingly restored into a “living work of art,” this historic Maison Villageoise is a Saint-Henri original. Swanky, eclectic, and thoughtfully curated, Meme House™ offers all the comforts: heavenly beds, private parking, air conditioning, a backyard oasis, super office, and smart toilets with built-in bidets.
Walking distance to Notre-Dame St, Atwater Market, the Lachine Canal, metro/subway stations, downtown, and Old Montreal. Work remotely, explore the city, stay somewhere extraordinary.
The space
The primary bedroom occupies its own floor beneath vaulted ceilings and exposed wooden beams. It has a queen bed with a high-quality mattress, air conditioning, warm lighting, and a fully tiled ensuite wet room.
For guests needing a second bedroom, part of the office converts into a sleeping area with blackout curtains and a plush queen bed. Its solid base and seamless sleeping surface provide the comfort and support of a permanent bed.
Both full bathrooms have showers and smart toilets with heated seats and built-in bidets. Fresh towels, hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are provided.
Built for serious work, the office has a motorized sit-stand desk with a wide wooden worktop, an adjustable chair, an external monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, and high-speed fibre internet via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
The kitchen has an island with seating for two, a stove, microwave, and dishwasher. Quality pots, pans, and utensils are provided, along with cooking basics including olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, butter, and spices. The refrigerator dispenses chilled filtered water and both cubed and crushed ice.
The coffee nook has a French press, an electric kettle, and a selection of coffee and tea.
The living room’s deep blue walls, plush sectional sofa, and soft accent lighting give it an intimate feel, with curiosities throughout. A large coffee table leaves room for board games, drinks, and snacks, while a retractable 55-inch 4K OLED TV with high-quality external speakers completes the setup.
A dedicated laundry area includes a washer and dryer, with detergent on hand. A broom closet holds cleaning supplies for spills and everyday tidying.
The private, fenced backyard extends the home’s living space across three separate wooden decks. The Arch Deck has a sofa and dining table beneath a sweeping transparent canopy, sheltered without losing the view of the trees and sky. The Mirror Lounge offers sectional seating against a striking wall of circular mirrors, with artwork continuing the house’s playful character outdoors. A dedicated grill station completes the space, with gas and charcoal barbecues, a foldaway table, and a serving window connecting directly to the kitchen.
We’re in the heart of Saint-Henri, one of Montreal’s most vibrant and creative neighbourhoods. Notre-Dame Street offers an eclectic mix of bars, cafés, and acclaimed restaurants, with the iconic Atwater Market nearby for fresh produce and artisanal foods. The scenic Lachine Canal is close by for cycling, walking, or an afternoon beside the water. Downtown and Old Montreal are within walking distance, while nearby Lionel-Groulx and Place-Saint-Henri metro stations make it easy to explore the rest of Montreal. Private parking and convenient highway access give you the option to venture beyond the city, too.
Guest access
You’ll have full access to the home, front yard, and backyard. Two private parking spaces are included, arranged in tandem (one car behind the other).
Other things to note
Leave the cleaning to us. We give the home a full deep clean between stays, so there’s no need to spend your last morning cleaning up.
