Rancio is a quiet district of the city of Lecco located on the northeastern heights of the urban area, about 1.5 kilometers past the municipal center.
It is bathed by the waters of the Gerenzone.
It develops at the foot of Mount San Martino and, in particular, of the Corna di Medale, the imposing rock wall overlooking Lecco.

From Rancio, direct excursions to Mount San Martino originate, in particular to the Chapel of the Madonna del Carmine and the "Crocione".
