Where you’ll be

Beja, Portugal

It is a historic neighborhood, with a quiet life, where neighbors greet each other. When you leave, on the left, when you go up the street of Carmo Velho, the secular Church of Santa Maria, and the adjoining building of the Architect Pardal Monteiro lurk around the corner. Further up is the remarkable Regional Museum. On the other side, to the right, the houses of Rua Dr Aresta Branco appear, with emphasis on the Manuelino archway, we move forward and discover the imposing Castle and the various points of interest around it. If you like to walk through picturesque streets with history, go down to Rua da Guia, take a photo at Arco de Avis, observe the landscape at Miradouro do Terreirinho das Peças, go to Portas de Moura, through Rua dos Pintores, which takes us to Mouraria, a neighborhood that dates back to the Arab occupation and is a must-visit.
