Madampe House , built in 2014 , is a stunning 4000 sq.feet 3 air conditioning bed room villa for 7 A unique Sri Lankan home designed by a British , echoing the works of Geoffrey Bawa and Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Madampe House along the coast of Sri Lanka is the perfect spot for a tropical getaway with friends and family. The large open spaces and light and breezy owing the villa flanking Madampe Lake. It is three minutes away from a serene beach.

Downstairs provides a large open plan dining and living area ,large kitchen with central cooking island , toilet with shower and storeroom.

Upstairs are 3 large suites all with their own bathrooms and private veranda. King size beds have 5 star linen and mosquito nets. The master bedroom also hot water tub.all bed rooms have a/c

The large garden has a swimming pool with sun loungers and day bed. A canoe is available for use on the lake.

A superb breakfast is prepared for you each morning by our housekeeper who will also take care of all your clothes washing.

Madampe house is situated just outside Ambalangoda with a frontage onto Madampe lake. Ambalangoda is renowned for the intricaltely carved masks and is also the best place in Sri Lanka for antiques. We are midway between Bentota and Galle - about 30 minutes from both by car or slightly less by rail. The vibrant resort of hikkaduwa is about 10 minutes away by tuk tuk.

This area is perfect for nature lovers - an amazing variety of bird life and a vast array of fish and shellfish are on sale by fishermen at roadside stalls . One a week there is a large market at nearby parrot junction with an array of top quality fruit and veg. that defies description.

Situated in a safe and tranquil residential area frontage on to Madampe lake sanctuary. ambalangoda is nearest towm just 5 minuite tuk tuk drive close to Hikkaduwa touristic beach Beach.and if you get on to took took and its 20 minutes.There are a wealth of activities on hand if you wish, surfing, wake boarding and water sports, snorkeling and scuba diving, wildlife (including whale and dolphin watching at mirissa just 1 and half hour drive, and turtle hatcheries) history, culture and temples, yoga, Ayurveda treatments and massages, lagoon and river boat trips, tea plantations, shopping and party nightlife .udawalawe national or yala national park safari just 3 and half hours drive The UNESCO World Heritage site of the Galle Fort is a 45 minutes drive away .

Madampe House is a stunning villa built in 2015 with a lakeside frontage , private chef and 2 minutes from one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka.  Jointly owned by a Sri Lankan , Jayantha , who travelled the world as a chef in the merchant marine and Alistair , a Scotsman , who designed the villa after many years of travel in South Asia , picking up design ideas. Jayantha , if required , will be your private chef during your stay and will be available 24/7 to ensure you have a memorable holiday. A superb breakfast is supplied each morning , the services of our housekeeper , Madhu and , who as well as cleaning will attend to your laundry , an overnight watchman . Alistair is happy to help with any information regarding Madampe House and Sri Lanka in general. All bedrooms are air conditioned and cooling fans are located throughout the villa.
