Beautiful and walkable

Longleigh is the ideal beach house perfectly situated in Croyde and just a 5 minute walk from the beach and the village centre.
With sea views over the dunes, the house is surrounded by fields. Longleigh has 6 large en-suite bedrooms, a large open plan kitchen, spacious sitting room, a penthouse lounge with a further double bed, a ‘wet’ room/utility room, spacious patio, enclosed garden and a large roof deck which wraps around the whole house.

The space
Longleigh was constructed in June 2021 and is brand new on the property market for Croyde. It has large rooms, high ceilings, large windows and bi-folding doors throughout the property.

Neighborhood highlights

North Devon has many quality spots all year round, which makes it a must-surf. The consistent west facing beach breaks mean there’s always a place to surf waves and the beaches are reliable year round, with sheltered spots drawing in crowds.

Known as the surfing capital of North Devon with great family facilities and a vibrant, friendly atmosphere, the pretty village of Croyde is one of North Devon’s most renowned seaside locations.

While Croyde is primarily known for its perfect surfing conditions and for being part of the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there is plenty more going for this pretty village than just the coast. Croyde is home to a number of nature trails and walks as well as several wonderful pubs, many of which have thatched rooves and encapsulate the traditional imagery of a Devonshire pub.

One of the most popular walking trails in the village is the National Trust’s Baggy Point, which makes for some excellent coastal walking and has breath taking views as well as being generally accessible for walkers of all ages and abilities.

The village itself remains largely unspoiled from time gone by. The centre is a hub of lovely places to eat with many of the eateries offering locally sourced, seasonal produce on their menus.

There are local tea rooms for the infamous cream tea, pasty shops on every corner of the bay, as well as little hidden gems of street food trucks and tucked away bars.

Croyde is surrounded by the most incredible beaches including Saunton Sands, Putsborough, Woolacombe, Lee Bay and Westward Ho! Must-see places also include Clovelly, Hartland Quay, Lynmouth, Valley of the Rocks, Bucks Mill and Spekes Mill.

Other coastal activities paddle boarding, coasteering, kite surfing, fishing and wild swimming. There are a host of companies who provide lessons and hire along the coastline.

Croyde is situated on the Tarka Trail making it really popular with cyclists or anyone wanting to explore the coastline on two wheels. E-bikes are by far one of the most popular way to get around the area.

Activities for little ones include the Soft Play in Braunton, the Big Sheep (theme park and petting zoo) in Bideford, the North Devon Wake park, pottery painting and mini golf.

I live and work with my wife and 2 girls (Nancy, Marlin and Jasmine) just outside of London but we've been fortunate enough to own Heatherdown House and Heatherdown Chalet in Devon for the last 10 years. We also own another holiday house in Cornwall, which we've been letting out for the last 12 years so have gained some good experience from this. My brother Sam manages Heatherdown, the chalet and Longleigh and is based in Croyde so is on hand should our guests have any questions or need any local recommendations.
