The space
Lassen Red Fir Cabin is a place to unplug, reset, and enjoy the simplicity of forest living. The cabin features a thoughtfully designed rustic-industrial aesthetic and is ideally suited for couples, close friends, small families, or individuals seeking a peaceful forest retreat.

In addition to the deck, guests can enjoy an outdoor seating area with a propane fire pit—perfect for relaxing evenings.

Complimentary coffee, tea, pancake mix, and syrup are provided to help you start your day. Everyday essentials such as basic spices and vegetable oil are also available. Guests are encouraged to bring groceries, as the nearest market is approximately 11 miles away and offers limited selection. For a wider variety, we recommend shopping in Anderson, Redding, or Palo Cedro prior to arrival.

During the winter months, the cabin is maintained at a consistent temperature of 68–72°F to ensure a comfortable and evenly heated environment throughout your stay.

Guest access
●The entire cabin is for guest private use.
● 4 people maximum at all times.
●The cabin is not childproofed. We do not provide specific amenities or safety features for infants or toddlers, so we kindly ask families with young children to consider this when booking to ensure it’s the right fit for their stay.

Other things to note
●Cell service & internet: Cellular service is very limited due to the mountain location. A signal booster is available, though performance may vary by device and carrier. High-speed Starlink Wi-Fi is provided (approx. 195 Mbps download / 43 Mbps upload).

●Entertainment: A DVD player with a large movie selection is available, along with a variety of board games. Please note there is no cable or satellite TV.

●Power reliability: During high winds, PG&E may implement Public Safety Power Shutoffs with 1–2 days’ advance notice when possible. Winter storms may also cause outages. A backup generator is in place and operated intermittently during outages.

●Winter travel: A 4WD vehicle or tire chains are strongly recommended. Roads are paved and plowed by county/state crews, but snow and ice may still be present.

●Cabin character: The cabin features a metal roof, so the sound of rain may be heard indoors. Some interior wood finishes are intentionally rough-sawn, reflecting the rustic design of the space.
