Peace and quiet

This home is in a quiet area.

Vineyard and garden views

Soak up the views during your stay.
A unique opportunity to have all your family and friends together.
A house and a studio with free parking space for everyone, next to a stunning quiet, sandy beach.
HOUSE very spacious, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 WC + shower + washing machine-clothes dryer, 3 verandas with windows all around to enjoy the open view. You can hear the sound of the water from the beach and enjoy a sky full of stars.
STUDIO very small and cozy for 2+2 people, 1 WC with shower, small balcony, kitchen.

The space
HOUSE
Fully equipped kitchen, easy to walk around in and adjusted to the dining and living room. The tall table that is used as a working station is at the same space. But there are other spots in the house you can use to work.
The master bedroom is very big and has a lot of space for a portable baby cot (>2yrs old) in case it is needed. The master bedroom has two doors, the one leading to the walk-in wardrobe. The walk-in wardrobe has another door that leads to the WC with shower and a washing machine-clothes dryer. The bathroom also has two doors, one connecting it to the wardrobe and one to the sitting area. All the doors have keys, so you can chose who has access where. The master bedroom has a beautiful huge arched window, which is the only one without shutters. There are blackout curtains and we have never had any guest complaining about it over the years.
The second bedroom has a single bed that turns into a double and is the closest to the bathroom with the bathtub.
The third bedroom has a single bed that turns in a double one. It is downstairs with a door on the upper floor. His bedroom is not ideal for children as it is downstairs and the staircase is narrow, but you know your children better and people have used for children before.
The location is ideal for the warm Greek summer. The sea breeze and the meltemi winds keep the house cool night and day, while the window screens keep the insects out.
The living room and the master bedroom might get a bit warmer than the rest of the house, but they are perfect if you use the ceiling fans.
There is no air conditioning in the house as it is rarely necessary.
STUDIO
The studio is small and cozy with air conditioning (AC unit). The ground floor is very small with a sitting area with a sofa that opens to a double bed, a small kitchen with a regular fridge and a dining table and a WC with shower and washing machine. There are stairs that go upstairs to a very low ceiling room (1,63 height). There is no door separating the two floors. The upper room serves as a bedroom with two very fat natural latex mattresses that make two single beds or a huge double bed.
Guests should be ready to duck to get outside on the balcony since the ceiling is so low. The balcony is very small. Those who enjoy it, as it has a great view, bring the small table and chairs out there.

Guest access
You may use the patio behind the studio, which is shared with other guests. You are free to use the barbecue there, too.
The same goes for the vineyard which creates a shade and is very pleasant.
Nikos’ parents sit at the patio almost daily, but if you want the place to yourselves for a day or two, please let us know and it can be arranged.
You have access to the outside shower with hot water.

Other things to note
The land OUTSIDE is not decorated for guests as hotels usually are. It looks more like a field and a working area, apart from the vineyard that is a bit more idyllic.
Nikos’ parents cultivate the land and they love to offer some products to our guests. The visiting kids usually love to watch the gardening and wonder around.
The grandparents are very often in the garden. they are very discrete, but friendly if you want to interact with them. They use the patio behind the house daily and the barbecue there very often, but if you want the place to yourselves once or twice you can let us know and it will be easily arranged.
There is CLEANING available during your stay on demand and with extra cost. It cannot be arranged anytime you want, so please be patient and communicate your needs as soon and as clearly as possible.

Neighborhood highlights

'Kastraki Dream' house is in Kastraki, at its Northern end, close to Mikri Vigla.
Less than 10 mins drive to both kitesurfing spots. (Glyfáda and Mikri Vigla).
Walking distance to tavernas, a cool cafe for all day meals and deserts, ice cream, drinks and coffee and a local store, like a mini market. All by the sea.
Also, one of the most famous restaurants on Naxos, Axiotissa, is very close on the main inland road. You need to have booked to find a table in July and August.
Most of all, the most amazing thing in the neighborhood is the beautiful quiet beach you see on the pictures!

I have three boys and a girl. I love the beach and I kitesurf with my husband. We left Athens in 2016. Island life is so much better! My basic area of work is pregnancy and birth and babies with a focus in supporting the woman be stronger in her own power and intuition. I have a strong spiritual calling and believe that our house has its own fate and a clear mind of its own calling the right guests. Nikos is a software engineer working also as a marketer and a coach. Nikos’s grandfather bought this land in his day saying that the future is close to the sea. His family called it “το όνειρο” (to oniro), meaning “the dream”. Nikos’s parents built the foundations and we finished the house. All of us did it with love, rather than for building it only as an asset. We value every guest and honestly enjoy the opportunity to offer a chance to rejuvenate.
